Diary Confessions - 10 : Hidden Love

Diary Confessions - 10 : Hidden Love

You could see me everywhere today as if it was my daughter's wedding. All arrangements from decoration to food and from band to beauty parlor bookings were in my control because I knew best what she like the most. Today was the wedding of my best friend Shruti. It all happened so quickly that we didn't get a day to celebrate our friendship by remembering childhood days but then I always believe that anything that happens is for our good. Kushal is a nice guy, Shruti's parents approved him in first meeting but they only informed Kushal parents only after my approval. Seeing them happy and Shruti satisfied with all that was happening I have least reason to say no to such a brilliant match. I am proud of myself for two reasons today, first that all functions from sangeet to vidai were liked by all and secondly nobody knows that I was hiding my tears behind a veil of smiling face. My first love, my only love, my childhood love remained incomplete.

##########

Somewhere Shruti was also writing his diary entry:

Even today when I was leaving my home I didn't notice slight remorse in Karan's eyes for not having me in his life. He was in his usual energy managing all my marriage arrangements. Bhaiya and Papa wouldn't do such arrangements of my choice. He is like that always ready to help. Nobody knows that I loved him from my childhood and always thought he also loved me but he never said anything not even when my parents asked for his approval regarding Kushal. I have found a good life partner in Kushal but I knew and I would lament that my first love, my childhood love remained incomplete.

Diary Confessions - 9 : Time Machine

Diary Confessions - 9 : Time Machine

15th Feb, 2015

Dear Diary,

My father sold that blue sofa to a scrap dealer thinking that it was unlucky for me because I have became lazy since he bought it. How silly he thinks, it wasn't unlucky but so soft that I always fell asleep whenever I sat on it to study. My laziness was the reason of my bad grades and not that sofa. But now I am determined to perform well in my coming board exam and will definitely make him proud.

2nd Aug, 2015

Dear Diary,

You are witness to my father's brutality after I failed board exams. I think he is not wrong, I am a useless fellow who has ruined his own life in laziness. All my friends make mockery of me. I can't bear that insult anymore. I am ending my life by diving in this river.

3rd Aug, 2015

Dear Diary,

I was never sure to see that day but God have a different plan for me. I should have heard that old man with steel leg who came suddenly from somewhere just before I was going to dive and said that the dive would make me handicapped. He was right I have lost my leg and also my father who died of a heart attack reading your yesterday's page. I have to change my destiny one day.

2nd August, 2055

Dear Diary,

Wow! My time machine is ready after dedicating thirty years of my life in it. I have no family, no friends and only one leg just for an incident that happened forty years ago on that fateful day. Everything was lost by my silly behavior. Perhaps that blue sofa had some bad spirits which washed all sense from my brain and gave me this life of misery. Today I will go back and help my past self to change my destiny.

Naina's Diary Part - 3

Naina's Diary Part - 3

Previous Parts : Part 1 ; Part 2

Dear Diary,

I am writing to you after so many days since I was busy in my marriage. While I am writing this my husband Rohan was sitting with his friends outside eager to come to me but I know his friends would delay his coming. I met Rohan six months back during a conference I attended on behalf of my company. I was sure from the very first look of his well groomed clean shaven personality that he would impress everyone there. His way of communicating with others, his confidence in presenting himself and his knowledge about his area of work did exactly the same. He bold over everyone there including me.

I introduced myself to him and I don't know why I felt him as the man for me when I shook hands with him. You can see that I was absolutely write we are married within six months. It was amazing that neither his nor mine parents raised any objections about this relationship. I used to tell you that relationships are made in heaven and my story has exactly that divine presence. He is so understanding that when I told him about the letter boy being my first love , he raised no objections and assured me that his love would overcome all my feelings about that letter boy. He was right that letter boy don't come in my memories now, I have forgotten him. I think he is coming , I will write more to you tomorrow.

#####################

Rohan came inside the room dressed in a maroon sherwani. She put her diary in the drawer and sat on the bed like a shy bride covering her face. " This is your 'Muh Dikhai' ( a gift giving ritual before lifting the veil) from me." She was expecting some jewelry but he forwarded a letter towards her. Her eyes shone as she read the letter and tears rolled down her eyes. She recognized that hand writing and that poem. Rohan was the letter boy. He was a computer trainer in that Internet cafe later he developed some software which gave him success. " That incident bring two changes in me , first that you must have money which I know now was not the reason for your rejection and second the well groomed clean shaven face to win over a girl like you." They both laughed and hugged each other.

Diary Confessions - 8

Diary Confessions - 8 ( Naina's Diary)

Dear Diary,

From last one month I am sharing with you letters I am receiving from the day I have joined my new job. I never shared them with anyone in my family not even with my sister because I liked what he wrote, those love couplets, stanzas in admiration of my beauty I loved them all without knowing who was sanding them. I build a place in my heart for him and was keen to meet him. I placed a letter yesterday at the spot he kept letters for me with description of my desire to meet him.

Today when I was going for a conference held in a hotel with my driver I saw a boy following me on a cycle. I was sure it was him for the way he was peddling to come closer to the car but I couldn't see him clearly as my car raced ahead. I was getting late so I left my meeting with him to fate. When I came out from hotel after the conference I saw the same cycle on other side of the road I ran quickly to see him. But no one was standing near it. Suddenly, some one called my name from behind, I turned and saw a bearded man. He was young but looking older than his age because of that heavy beard. He extended his hand to introduce himself as Rishi the owner of cyber cafe in the same building I worked, the boy who wrote those letters to me. I was shocked not for who he was but for how he was. I told him to stop giving those letters and returned.

I should have asked him, "Will you ever shave in your life?"I don't know what I did was right or wrong but you couldn't impress me with that unkempt appearance and why the hell he was chasing me with a cycle when he had a motorbike with him. Forget him I don't want to think about him anymore.

I am accepting Vandana's tag. I would like to tag Sana , Vinitha , Arushi Ahuja , Umamaheshwari Anandane , Anirudh Shetty , Anushree Burman , Bushra M , Jaibala Rao .

'I was appointed the CVO ( Chief Vigilance Officer ) of this coveted medical institute two years back. Little did I hope that I would do anything in this department of such a prestigious institution known world over but to my surprise I unearthed about a dozen of scams in almost every department from illegally renting hospital space to selling medicines outside to security guard appointment scam ,etc. The politicians and bureaucrats dogs were treated with respect where humans die unattended. I thought that was my duty as a CVO to bring in light these scams and recommended them for CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation ) inquiry.

Few days back the newly appointed health minister removed me saying that I was not eligible for this post which I was holding for two years. Strange ! I was transferred to another state. Today morning I decided to aboard the train without knowing that whole city and nation was behind me, supporting me for what I did. When I reached the platform they gathered around me asking not to go as everyone was standing with me. Tears rolled down my eyes seeing honesty and truth still holds value in today's world. They lifted me on their shoulders and I missed my train.'

Mine Forever - Diary Confessions - 6

Mine Forever - Diary Confessions - 6

"My love for Mohan started when I was a little girl the time when I didn't understand the real meaning of love. We used to play together and my favorite game was when he became husband and I became his wife. This was my dream actually this is my dream. All these years we shared everything with each other. When he went abroad for studies he called me daily. I too keep him updated of happenings here. Love was understood between us. We were close enough that words are not required to confirm our relationship.

Our parents talked many times about our marriage in front of us. We both liked those discussions,I used to shy away from their and he teased me for that making me upset and then amended his mistakes with hugs and kisses and ..... I waited for her return but he disappointed me. He returned with a girl and declared to his parents that he would marry her. It came as a shock to me. We talked almost everyday but he never told me about her. He said that I was his best friend and would understand him better than his parents. He was also my best friend did he understand me ?

I tried to forget him, tried to remove his memories from each corner of my room, from everything that belonged to me,from pillows, from curtains, from walls and from every bit of me. All my efforts were in vain, I found him everywhere. Everything I wear, everything I use was of his choice, my appearance was also as he liked ,I was all his and he should be mine for now and forever. He came few minutes back to give me condolences but it was not enough. I have drank poison and I will die soon to make him mine forever."

She put her diary and pen aside and lay down beside Mohan's dead body.

Today's alphabet is M and it's UBC DAY 15.

Diary Confessions - 5

"It is true. I was tempted by her beauty. Her looks were intoxicating. I first saw her outside the cinema hall at M.G. Road where she was waiting for a taxi. I offered her lift in my car. I was surprised when she didn't refuse my offer but the depth of her eyes worked as doubt eraser. Soon we become good friends and then husband and wife. I married her against my family's wish,my father wanted his friend's daughter as my wife but his love for me made him accept her as his daughter-in-law."

"We all were happy my father,my mother,my younger brother and sister they all accepted her and she was also mixing well with them. But that happiness was short-lived. My parents died in a car accident,my sister eloped from the house and later found raped and murdered on city road. My younger brother committed suicide in strange circumstances. I too wanted to kill my self but how could I found peace if there were tears in her eyes. People said that my wife was behind all these things. I never listened to any one. Yes I was tempted." As he stopped writing police constable came to take him to the gallows. He was sentenced to death for killing his wife.

One day when he came back early from the office,he saw her performing some strange rituals. Two other men were also there. He heard her saying that she had completely took his control by bewitchment chants due to which he didn't notice that she murdered his family." Now do something that he will also give his business to me and my darling". She kissed a man sitting beside her. He cried like a child for what he has lost after being tempted by her beauty while she was behind her as she was tempted by his wealth. He went to the study where he kept his licensed revolver and brought it to shoot all of them.

She has lost all ideals of this great republic. I regarded his father as my elder brother and her as my niece that's why I met her to resolve our differences. It is difficult to believe that power as such adverse effects. A whole network of people is against her today and she is behaving like a dictator,I don't know why she is behaving like that ? Today I read Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar's poem 'Singhasan Khali Karo Ki Janata Aati Hai'( Vacate the throne, people are coming) which he wrote when India became republic on 26th January 1950. What he wrote at that time inspire us even today. Tomorrow when I will recite it in Ramlila Maidan,I am sure all those suffering from atrocities of Indira will get inspiration from this poem. We will write a new chapter in the history of this great country tomorrow. We will fight for Total Revolution. I don't know what will be it's result on her but I am confident that the change will come.

24 June 1975

( An imaginative page of J.P. Narayan's (who lead peaceful Total Revolution against Indira Gandhi during Emergency) diary to get an idea what was going in his mind at that time.)

There are many examples in the history of world where one write to inspire millions to network themselves against a system or tradition, this is one such glimpse from the perspective of a great political leader of his time. This is also notable that most of the famous leaders of today like Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar,Mulayam Singh Yadav, etc emerged from this movement.

Diary Confessions - 3

I was waiting for my bus at the bus stop as my bike was at mechanics shop when she came there. I was playing a game on my phone when I caught her looking at me. I was clean shave than unlike my stubble look. I thought that my clean shaven look bowled her over. I knew that she was looking at me but I couldn't get the courage to say something to her. I was also looking at her covertly.

When at next moment I looked at her she was also looking at me, our eyes met my heart started beating fast. It was first time that something like that happened to me. She started coming towards me, I was getting goosebumps. Oh! My God. She stood near me and said that I should go back and shave again as some hairs were present above my lips and near ears. She told that her brother also did such mistakes during shaving , I made her reminded her brother studying in another state. I went back to home to shave again.

That photograph reminds me of my youth of my good old days I spent with you. Those memories still brings smile on my face. I remember how you used to forget all your day's tensions after seeing me smiling. But your ambitions took you away from me. Away in your world surrounded by materialistic pleasures, filled only with money. I waited for you whole life and still waits for you with a smile on my face so that if ever you come to me in tension you forget them all to see me smiling. My eyes still search for you.

Had I looked back? I think I have not. I have not looked back to those promises I made with her, to her eyes which always wanted to see me close to her,to those moments which I can not buy today with enormous money I had, I never ever looked back to her love. But still the smell of old books brings her face in front of my eyes which she used to hide with them. That peacock feather which she kept in them takes me to her. If I had forgotten her then why this happens? Why? Why?........
