Born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan in 1922 he became famous with the name 'Dilip Kumar' and played a pivotal role in shaping the Indian Cinema. I was away from this blog for more than two years but his death forced me to come here and pay respect to this legend by writing a tribute for him.
<div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none !important; background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; transition-property: none !important; white-space: pre-wrap;">

<div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none !important; background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; transition-property: none !important; white-space: pre-wrap;">My father was huge Dilip Kumar fan who introduced me to his movies. Dilip Kumar was source of inspiration for all actors who came after him. From Dharmendra to Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan all are inspired by his acting and movies. He was a natural actor. Although I wasn't born in his era but I can feel how much he has impacted the future generations with his work.
<div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none !important; background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; transition-property: none !important; white-space: pre-wrap;">

<div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none !important; background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; transition-property: none !important; white-space: pre-wrap;">He was referred as 'The Tragedy King' perhaps because of his true portrayal of pain on silver screen which used to make audience feel the pain of his character. He has not given the quantity but quality of cinema to the movie goers. Andaz(1949), Daag (1952), Azaad (1955), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Gunga Jamuma (1961), Ram Aur Shyaam (1967) or his second inning films like Kranti (1981), Shakti (1982), Mashal (1984), Karma (1986), Saudagaar (1991) , etc all are gems for Indian Cinema. Many evergreen songs featured on him like, Ude Jab Jab Zulfein Teri, Do Sitaron Ka Zameen Par Hai Milan, Aaja Re Pardesi, Mere Pairon Mein Ghunghru, Aaj Ki Raat Mere Dil Ki Salami, Suhana Safar Aur Ye Mausam Haseen, Saathi Haath Bathana and many more which will keep him in our memories always.
<div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none !important; background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; transition-property: none !important; white-space: pre-wrap;">

<div dir="auto" style="animation-name: none !important; background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; transition-property: none !important; white-space: pre-wrap;">Many actors will come and go in the film industry but there are few who change the course of cinema and Dilip Sahab was one of them. two Mosques in Christchurch is another violent attack on humanity similar we
have witnessed in past 20-25 years on various places of USA, France, India,
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, Norway, etc but what make it standout from the
rest is the involvement of social media in it and the way it brought New Zealand to the terror map.

The terrorist live streamed his killing which reached
several around the world and also published what he called a manifesto of 72

media namely Facebook, Twitter and What’s App generated has seen much similar
consequences in India also when mobs were organized to brutally lynch someone
just because his/her eating habit, religion, gender, color, dressing sense was
not like them. The hate messages were so high that government on courts order forced to direct
these platforms to regulate them which resulted in some changes in their
policies and their advertisement reflected that too.

But the hate they generated is continuous; it creates an inferiority complex
in a particular person by projecting some another person who belong to some other
religion, caste, color or region as the enemy of that particular person. Such
messages say that ‘They’ have snatched their jobs or hurting their religion or occupying
their nation as if ‘they’ have come from somewhere else. The mind of people of
read such messages gets whitewashed easily and they develop hate for these 'Others.. They take What’s App messages as
gospel truth and never thought a second to verify the claim made in these messages. As a result hate comes out in such brutally violent incident. Earlier some terrorist organization used to do this job by luring some dissatisfied youth but who to blame now when people are radicalized sitting in their homes?

Top 10 Hindi Film Songs of 2018

If movies wise the year saw flop from some big budget heroes we were able to witness some good music in songs of this year. Heeriye from Race 3, Husn Parcham from Zero, Suraiyya from Thugs of Hindustan are some of the good dance songs from films which didn't do good at box office. Here is the list prepared by me to celebrate songs of 2018:

I was late in writing this post but I am not comfortable with the fact I didn’t give tribute to this man whom I admired very much during nineties and the admiration increased as I knew about his writing skills as script writer and dialogue writer for many hit Hindi films. He died on 31st December 2018 giving sadness to his love one’s in the end of the year.

Kader Khan was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1937 but got his education in Mumbai where he also became a teacher. His acting was noted by yesteryear’s character actor Agha who recommended him to Dilip Kumar sahib who offered him two films which started his film career. His first film was Daag with Rajesh Khanna and then he did many films with him. I recognized from his films in the nineties where he was mostly doing comedy with Govinda. On watching more of his movies I realized how versatile actor he was with films like Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni, Dariya Dil, Ghar Ho To Aisa, Hum Hain Kamal Ke , Baap Numbari Beta Dus Numbari, etc in which he was almost the lead actor of the film.

In films like Desh Premi, Suhaag, Parvarish, Amar Akbar Anthony, he played a villain. Khoon Bhari Maang, Kishen Kanahiyya, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Sajan Chale Sasural, Judai, Koyla, Himmatwala, Ghar Parivar, Bol Radha Bol, Raja Babu, Sooryavansham, Aankhen, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and the list is endless which determines how great actor he was. Some movies look incomplete if we imagine them without him. He also appeared on television shows but it didn’t work well. He was script and dialogue writer for many south films also. Sharabi, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and many Amitabh Bachchan films were written by him.

He spend his last few years after falling ill outside India in Canada where his children are settled and sadly no one from the film industry with whom he worked never cared for him. Neither news channels nor gossip magazines give any news about his whereabouts in these days. Only we heard some rumors on social media time to time which used to worry his well wishers.

He will remain alive with his films in our memories forever. Whenever we will thing about family loved humor we will always think about him. RIP Sir Kader Khan.

This year was not much good for me as I suffered a disease from which I am recovering and giving less time to writing but I thought to write a good bye post to bid adieu this year mixed with different feelings.

This year should be called as the year of marriages. We witnessed big fat weddings of Mukesh Ambani's daughter, Deepika Padukone-Ranvir Ranvir Singh, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja, than we have marriages of Kapil Sharma, Alka Yagnik's daughter, Kulbhushan Kharbanda's daughter, Saina Nehwal and many more other marriages. The year which started with Bheema Koregaon violence which become the epicenter for government and Dalits tussle increased when government made changes in Dalit atrocities bill.According to some experts this along with farmers distress made ruling party lose elections in Karnataka first and than in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chatisgarh.

There remain tussle in Indian judiciary and government also which subsided slowly and give way for new chief justice of the country Justice Ranjan Gogoi. Government criticism remain the highlight of most of the year as there role in not supporting removal of article 377 was not liked by LGBTQ community, Rafale scam, ruling party support to Kathua Rape accused, rigidity in making Aadhar mandatory, government's silent approval to mob lynching, Love Jihad killing, communal hatred were evident when some ministers seen supporting these ideologies. In the later part of the year the controversy over RBI Governor Urijit Patel's resignation also sparked controversy.

We have lost eminent personalities like Sridevi, Rita Bhaduri, Steven Hawkins, Vinod Khanna, M. Karunanidhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Kavi Kumar Azad, etc. Kerala floods remain the most devastating event of the year while MeToo campaign rocked almost every field of personalities.France's victory in FIFA World Cup 2018, kiki challenge, Nipah Virus, Statue of Liberty, Winter Olympics, Asia Cup 2018, Asian Games 2018, Under 19 Cricket World Cup and many other events remain in news in the year 2018.

Hoping that 2019 eases difficulties faced in 2018 I wish Happy New Year to my readers.

I remained critical about the way Narendra Modi government functions not because I don’t like him but the way he works and working for the country.
In science WORK DONE is calculated by multiplying FORCE with DISTANCE (W = FD)
which means the amount of work done is known by seeing the effect of the force applied in changing something. If we judge his work done on this simple formula we saw he
has done nothing which has brought drastic change in the country or in its
people.

Let’s look at few of
his pet projects.

Swach Bharat: Swach Bharat is repackaging of
Manmohan Singh’s Nirmal Bharat with more emphasis on photo op and publicity.
But still as I walk in the capital of the country I can see garbage all around
and if this is the case with the Metro city we can judge the situation of rest o of the country. The condition of the people who are responsible for cleanliness
has not improved. There jobs are still on contract basis. There is no one
questioning their work done. So unless these things would be considered this
will remain a dream.

Economy: He says he will bring ‘Achche Din’ or good days to the people but his most important steps of improving economy of the country namely Demonetization and Goods & Service Tax (GST) has done nothing for the uplift of economy. Demonetization didn’t bring back Black Money, didn’t stop terrorism and naxalism, didn’t stop fake currency and neither brought assurance to common people that there money is safe in banks. GST on the other hand reduced taxes for the big corporate but put small businessman in trouble by increasing their cost of production.

Corruption: The biggest issue of ‘Na Khaunga Na
Khanedunga’ also failed when he said nothing on running away of people like
Vijay Mallaya, Mehul Choksi and Neerav Modi. His silence on Rafale Deal scam is
also a question mark on his commitment of curbing corruption. All evidences
like bringing in Ambani’s name, reducing aircraft from 126 to just 36, etc are
against him and his government but his indifference to the issue of clarifying
his stand shows his weakness in dealing with corruption. On many other corruption issues he said just nothing which is irritating.

Farmers: He spoke many times about farmers’
condition and his commitment to improve this but they are not even allowed to
raise their demands by entering into the capital of the country. They were
stopped by using force on International Day of Non-Violence. Low MSP, high Diesel price, expensive cost of
production all has worsen there condition.

There are more issues like Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas but we
have seen crime against Dalits and minorities has increased in his tenure and
he is seen following twitter handles that spread hatred for particular caste,
community, religion and people with different views. His Rs 15 lac in each
account slogan proved mere ‘Jumla’ as accepted by them. Jan Dhan accounts were
opened but most of them are empty. Continuous falling of Rupee and increasing of petrol and diesel price daily is also his big failures because he used to criticize Congress government on these issues.

These entire things and his unwanted boosting of self have
decreased his influence on me and many others I am seeing around. Reducing
every debate to Hindu-Muslim has just increased hatred in people’s mind. I can
just say GOD SAVE INDIA.

Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (Why fear if in love?) that's what exactly Supreme Court meant when a 5 member Chief Justice Dipak Misra lead bench decriminalizes homosexuality by striking down Article 377 of the Indian Penal Court. This is a historical decision for LGBT community who were knocking at courts door again and again for this ruling through Naz Foundation and others. After Right to Privacy become a fundamental right in 2017 it was certain that LGBT community would get this Right To Love.

Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code dating back to 1861, introduced during the British rule of India (modeled on the Buggery Act of 1533) criminalized sexual activities "against the order of nature", including homosexual activities. On 6 September 2018, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that Section 377 was partially unconstitutional "in so far as it criminalizes consensual sexual conduct between adults of the same sex". Though it is still applicable on non-consensual sexual act between adults and on having unnatural sex with children or animals.

This ruling will lead to decrease in crimes against the community due to prejudice and misunderstandings. Love is love as believed by LGBT community is authenticated by Indian Law. Nobody will judge them with derogatory prejudice in their mind. This ruling has made activists hopeful for other cases like Aadhar linkage and making it mandatory in bank accounts and mobile.

Government of India didn't support the idea of decriminalizing homosexuality and left it to the wisdom of court to decide on the validity of Article 377.

Eminent people like Yogi Ramdev of Patanjali group, Yogi Adityanath Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, etc are against the judgement. Rahul Gandhi president of Congress party supported it earlier when Delhi High Court delivered the similar judgement in 2013. Whatever be the politics behind the ruling one thing is clear that LGBT community has got the real freedom today. It also not means that you now observe vulgarity on streets due to this freedom but they can move freely without police fear.

Delhi Darshan - Connaught Place

This is my sixth or seventh journey to explore Delhi yet the state is too old and vast in terms of traveling that still there are lots more things to see. My travel craving took me to Connaught Place this Monday. Since I was eager to see Madame Tussauds recently inaugurated in Delhi I booked ticket to visit there 3 months before and plan to see other famous things of the area also. Here I should also mention that I booked ticket online which give discount and are not time and date bound. So if you plan to go there book ticket online on their site.

I was ardent to see Jantar-Mantar as the name usually attached to the protests that happen in Delhi but the original site has no such protests around it. This is possible that these protests used to happen in a specified place in this region hence the same name is used. The area is boring and there is not much too see. Jaipur Jantar-Mantar is better and maintained nicely. But it feels good to see the iconic heart shaped building.(Misra Yantra).

The high price of ticket attracts only few people so this place in not much crowded and you can touch and have photographs with all of them easily. Then we go to Ugrasen Ki Baoli made famous by the character of Aamir Khan in the movie 'PK'. It is situated in a secluded place and except few not much people visit there. Maintenance was also done ordinary and the place is occupied by blood sucking mosquitoes. God knows how Aamir Khan spend time there perhaps mosquitoes left him because he was alien in the film.

Last we go to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib a kind of pilgrimage for Delhi's Sikh. It was filled with people at that time of the day also. We rested there for sometime and then went away to our home. Delhi holds many more wonders to see which I hope I will see in regular intervals.

Kerala's most worst flood in 100 years has killed more than 324 people and more than 2 lakh people are living in 1500+ relief camp. It's a natural tragedy and we can only pray for their safeguard. Army, Navy, Coast Guard and NDRF (National Disaster Relief Force) working tirelessly to rescue as many people as possible. The opening of all the gates of almost all the dams in the region has send more water to the flood affected area making relief work more difficult. In some areas water is also entering relief camps.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also surveyed the affected area and released some initial rescue fund to the state. Keralites living in UAE, UK, Australia are all desperate in concern over rescue of their families stranded in floods. Kerala is being ravaged by torrential rains since August 8, which have triggered landslides and floods. It has disrupted air, rail and road traffic in several places. Public transport has practically disappeared from most parts of the state.

National news channels and newspaper remain ignorant to the condition of Kerala till PM Modi didn't decided to visit Kerala. They remain engaged in covering Independence Day celebration and telecast live funeral of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee when a part of the country is almost submerging in water. The apathy shown to a region of south is really disheartening. At this time we can help by donating to Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund as much as possible to Stand with Kerala at this time.

We can not do anything sitting at such a long distance but we can #PrayForKerala because prayers can travel miles in second. Hope Kerala stand back to its feet soon and the rain Gods give them some respite from the rain.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away today (16th August 2018) after prolonged illness in Delhi’s AIIMS hospital. He didn’t marry in his life so has no children but has an adopted daughter. He was not in the active politics since the time he was defeated in 2004 elections after serving as Prime Minister of India. Interestingly he served as the Prime Minister of India thrice, first for a term of 13 days in 1996, second for a period of eleven months from 1998 to 1999, and then for a full term from 1999 to 2004 by leading an alliance NDA (National Democratic Alliance) which is group of almost 36 parties. He was also a famous poet penned poems like Kya Khoya Kya Paya Jag Mein, Kadam Milakar Chalna Hoga, Khoon Kyun Safed Ho Gaya, etc.

He became Prime Minister at a time when my interest in politics was increasing. I always used to admire his oratory skills and enjoy his speeches laden with metaphors, poetry and unique examples. It was during his Prime Ministerial ship that I got chance to visit PM house with school group during his birthday celebration. There he was friendly with the crowd and tried to meet as many people as possible. An idea of River Linking Project came up during his tenure was one of my favorite but it didn’t take shape till now. He retired from active politics after defeat in 2004 general elections making L.K.Advani his successor. He was conferred with highest civilian award Bharat Ratna by Narendra Modi government.

He was credited for Pokhran 2 nuclear tests which was criticized by many nations in international circuit. He started Bus service from Delhi to Lahore and initiated dialogues with Pakistan after signing Lahore Summit agreement which was benchmark for peace process between Indian and Pakistan. He was disliked by his own party BJP and RSS for such actions but continue to face tough questions. His tenure also saw Kargil War and then 2001 attack on Parliament. Both act as setback for his peace initiatives. Agra talks were also failed with Pakistan which further derailed peace process. Indian Airlines flight IC 814 was hijacked when he was the PM for which he was forced to release terrorists under India’s control to release the passengers.

His political career marked with controversies like 2002 Gujarat riots for which he even criticized role of then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi. His slogan of India Shining flopped badly when they lost 2004 elections. His role in the mysterious death of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya was also questioned by the people at that time. He was among the founding members of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) after having connections with Jana Sangh and RSS.

His government started free market policy, national highway project and Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan. He was the man who first delivered speech in Hindi in United Nations when he was External Affair Minister in Morarji Desai government. However he was among the accused perpetrators of Babri Masjid demolition his term as a PM washed away many such allegations on him as he was liked by Muslims also. Today in his death nation has lost a great orator, a loved statesman and a person who is respected across all party lines. Rest in Peace Sir you will always remain in our memories.

Kalaignar literally translates into ‘scholar of arts’ or just artist the title earned by M Karunanidhi from his followers not for being a Tamil film actor but due to active role played in Tamil Nadu politics. M Karunanidhi breathed his last on 7th August 2018 at the age of 94 in Chennai after prolonged age related illness. He married thrice in his life and has four sons and two daughters from different wives among them M.K Stalin second son of his second wife is seen as his political successor.

Karunanidhi entered Tamil Nadu politics at an early age from anti-Hindi agitation and become part of Dravidian movement by joining DMK. Dravidian movement is associated with atheism and anti-Brahmin ideology the reason he was disliked by fundamentalist Hindus. He was a screenwriter in Tamil movies through which he extensively shared ideas of atheism and anti-Brahminism to masses. His screenplays consists of themes of anti-Brahminis, widow remarriage, abolition of untouchability, self-respect marriages, abolition of zamindari and abolition of religious hypocrisy. He rose to the rank of President of DMK and served as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for five terms and twenty years between 1969 and 2011. It is a almost a miracle for me that an atheist ruled those people who are strong believers of scriptures and religion. He must have served them well.

In nineties I remembered to heard only two names of Tamil politics on national level i.e J Jayalalitha and M Karunanidhi. This shows how they rose to importance in national politics also. M Karunanidhi’s death put an end to an era of stalwarts of Tamil politics; the man who made anti- Hindi and atheism as his tool remain true to these ideologies till his end. He remained in controversy on the issues of corruption by his family members, for his statement on Setusamundaram and existence of Lord Ram. He was accused of connections with LTTE an organisation responsible for death of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and also of charges of nepotism.

As an observer of politics I can claim that a big void has been created in Tamil Nadu politics which is impossible to be filled by any other leader. No one can earn the support of masses like he does in his lifetime. With him the country has lost the true champion of social causes. RIP M Karunanidhi.

From historical Rahul Gandhi hug to PM Narendra Modi in Parliament and the wink that follows this hug to Imran Khan winning elections in Pakistan to mysterious suicide of a family in Burari area of Delhi to NRC controversy in Assam to Kiki Challenge to debate on entry of women in Sabarimal Temple complex to Rafale Scam and involvement of Reliance Defense in it to Dhadak release and its comparison to Marathi original ‘Sairat’ to lynching of Rakbar Khan in Alwar which put role of police under scanner to the longest Lunar eclipse to RS Sharma’s show your Aadhaar challenge which left him exposed before the country to France football world cup win and many other incidents made news this July .

There are so many news to show but our propaganda driven channels concentrated their debate to Hindu-Muslim issues to widen the divide in the society. Most don’t even care to show rapes in Muzaffarpur, Bihar shelter home because BJP is in alliance with Nitish Kumar there. Let’s have a close look on this news.

There at least 34 girls were sexually exploited for years in a shelter home meant to take care of them. The shelter home was partially funded by government for care and maintenance of these abandoned or ran away girls. A local news channel ‘Kashish TV’ brought this issue in front of the nation. Many government employees and ministers are reportedly involved in the crime. The strange thing is that government gave it grant even after reports of irregularities in the functioning of shelter home. The girls are scared and not in a position to face even each other and their counselling only can bring them to normalcy. The youngest victim is only 7 years old.

The Supreme Court has taken the matter in its own hands and directing the police to take appropriate action. It has also asked Nitish Kumar government for explanation on the issue. The incident is not only shocking but shameful for the society which can’t even care for those left by their families or living their due to tough circumstances. I hope police soon take action against those involved in the crime.

The August started with news of curb in freedom of expressions as well as on free and fair journalism with government’s involvement in forcing ABP News’s Abhisaar to 15 day holiday and resigning of its editorial head Milind Khendekar and anchor Punya Prasoon Bajpai. Bajpai was earlier removed from AajTak also over tough questions asked to Baba turned businessman Ramdev. No one knows what will happen to them but we must speak on such developments so that someone left to voice our concern when they attack us.

Violence instigating blind followers.

These two opening quote and a couplet I think is enough to authenticate my point. The rising intolerance in the name of Lord Ram has not only maligned the image of India in the world but also of Lord Ram who is loved and adored by all irrespective of caste and religion.Today the situation is so worse that anybody who differ in opinion from ruling Bhartiya Janata Party/Rashtriya Swamsewak Sangh and Narendra Modi’s view is termed as traitor who is eligible to die a violent death in the hands of violent blond followers.

The hate and frustration has increased so much that people are not afraid of police system and law if they are inclined to a particular ideology and are always ready to take law in their hand. The extent of mob violence has increased so much that not even police officers are spared from it and the places like Courts which are responsible for protecting the law are also used by mobs to attack people. Even if we forget about the organized mob attack on fake child lifters in Jharkhand,Tripura, Gujarat and Maharashtra how can we justify attack Muslims in the name of cow, on Dalits for keeping mustache or a surname unsuitable to upper caste, on Shashi Tharoor’s office for an opinion shared by him, on Twitter attack on Sushma Swaraj for allowing passport to an interfaith couple, on Swami Agnivesh when he was addressing people in Jharkhand, on Swara Bhaskar for portrayal of a masturbating woman in a Hindi movie, etc.

The list is endless if we started counting from the day Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister of India. The reason such incidents are rising is in the silence of Mr Modi on such issues and also in support of BJP/RSS/ABVP of such incidences. You can recall the march by BJP minister and supporters for Kathua and Unnao rape accused. Statements of people like Nitin Gadkari, Griraj Singh Chauhan and Mahesh Giri who all are ministers in the government give rise to such incidents. Who can forget the felicitation of lynch accused by Minister Jayant Sinha. Also the environment of hate created by government ministers and supporters against Muslims, Christians, Dalits and against the people who are different from their expectations has given rise to such incidents.

Lord Ram wouldn’t have allowed such incidents on this pious land nor would he allow misuse of his name by uncontrollable goons. If not government we should make this our priority to regulate social media messages which are precursors to this mob violence by not forwarding unverified news. Together we can and we will make a difference.

Neither Rita Bhaduri is an household name nor I am a big fan of her but I still have some memories attached to her which I want to share after her death today in a Mumbai hospital. She was a character artist or a supporting actor in 70's , 80's and 90's and I am sure you also didn't know about any path breaking role of her which have impressed the audience. Yet she was an important personality of TV and film industry and her presence on screen used to feel by the audience.

She reminded me of a weird unique show of 90's which aired on Zee TV. The show's name was 'Grihalakshmi Ka Jinn' where she played the protagonist 'Girahalakshmi' whom God send a Jihn to solve her day to day problems, the Jihn was played by 'Raj Zutshi'. It was a comedy serial and had a unique story line which if I think today can be compared to 'Nobita and Doraemon' relation. In this show too Raj Zutshi (Jihn) was like her brother. All other her roles were mostly of mother, grandmother, nani, bua , etc and I only had glimpses of her roles in my mind as that in Anil Kapoor's 'Ghar Ho To Aisa', Govinda's 'Hero No.1', Shah Rukh Khan's 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa' Priety Zinta's 'Kya Kehna' etc.

In television industry she was mostly associated with women oriented 'Saas-Bahu' kind of serials where she played mother, dadi, nani or other such kind of roles which I don't see much and I don't have memories of them but yes I know she was active recently also. Anyways she was a face one recognizes and her loss will be felt among people who are regular in watching her serials. She died today(17th July 2018) of kidney ailments in Mumbai. May her soul Rest In Peace.

Recently Kavi Kumar Azad who used to play an important character Dr Hansraj Hathi in famous comedy serial of SAB TV 'Taarak Mehta ka Ultaa Chashma' has passed away due to heart attack. His jovial nature was evident from his appearance on screen. He has the smiling, tension free appearance on show which brings smile to our faces. I know he will soon be replaced by some other actor on the show but his absence will be missed immensely.

A new trend of mob lynching has emerged in many Indian states mostly ruled by Bhartiya Janata Party shaping Narendra Modi’s ‘New India’. The idea of India is idea of togetherness, inclusiveness and acceptance but the new India works contrary. In this segregation, hate and intolerance hold the importance. Till now mobs were killing people in the name of cow in various places like in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan, some trends of hate crimes also noticed when Muslims, Dalits, Tribals,North East Indians were attacked by group of people. Now the poor and down trodden are attacked by labeling them child lifters.

The dangerous trend is that the online mobs (trolls) have come out in open by instigating people through fake WhatsApp messages to kill innocent people. Even government appointed officer Sukanta Chakraborty was also killed by a mob in the state of Tripura when he was appointed to visit villages and tell people about the fake news. Recently five people were also killed by a mob in Maharashtra on Sunday after rumors spread on social media that they were child traffickers. More than a dozen people have been killed across India since May in violence fueled mainly by messages on the WhatsApp service.

What startled you is that the messages spreading on WhatsApp are almost similar about child trafficking but translated into the local languages of the area where they are circulated. This shows preplanning of such incidents. Sadly all governments are unable to do anything about these incidents. The anger and hate generated through fake social media groups and messages is coming out in the way of police action as it is difficult to find out the source of the message. People forward fake messages without checking their authenticity and believe that they are true. No one wants that anger filled ‘New India’. How you can call companies in such environment to ‘Make in India’? Is ‘Skill India’ imparting knowledge to gather mobs to kill people? All government schemes will fail if violence will extend to such levels.

The Supreme Court (SC) said in its judgment that mob lynching is a crime no matter what the motive is and added that it is a law and order issue that is the responsibility of state governments. Notably all states which reported such incidents are ruled by BJP and Mr Modi as usual is silent on such an important issue. I request PM Narendra Modi to select issue of ‘Mob Violence’ in this month’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He should speak against these crimes in a strong manner to be understood by people. ‘Mob violence’ is nothing but troll culture (which didn’t even spare External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj ) on streets. PM should start un-following unruly trolls to give a strong message to the nation.

We all should stand and say in one voice that we don’t want such hate filled ‘ New India.

From last 30 years two issues are making headlines in Indian media: Kashmir problem and Ayodhya Ram Mandir. India is dealing with both the issues almost from independence and even before that because Babri Masjid issue was also in the list of concern of British India and ownership of Kashmir was always discussed with the last ruler of state Raja Hari Singh. Let’s not go much in the core and history of both the issues but one thing we can conclude from the developments of last 30 years is that both the issues are making mockery of Indian democracy arriving in the limelight on every onset of General elections or elections in the Hindi speaking belt.

There are issues through which political parties played through the emotions of people mostly in the northern India and these two are the leaders of most famous propaganda technique. Observe closely and you will find that people who are speaking of article 370, Kashmir constitution and relation of army with Kashmiris are not aware of the ground reality there; they are not even close to the people living there. One thing which can I deduce is that government of India, government of Pakistan and the separatist no one has an authentic solution of the situation but when things were at peace people are willing to discuss out the solution or the midway of all these problems. Biggest problem is that Indian government is not willing to accept Kashmir as disputed territory in spite of the fact it was not ruled by Indian constitution and the huge army is deployed there to maintain peace.

The recent development of breaking away of PDP-BJP coalition also points in the direction that right now no set Kashmir policy is available with present government and more use of muscle power only taking away India from people’s heart. Now come to the Ram Mandir issue. India witnessed biggest slur on democracy in independent India with the demolition of Babri Masjid. Age long continuations of harmony broke at that point and make a permanent crack in Hindu-Muslim unity giving way to altercations in the future. But since then the matter is in court and no solution is coming out of the process even when both the parties are ready to accept any court decision.

You can see sadhu and saints coming out in open for demanding Ram Mandir every time elections are round the corner. We really need people and leaders who believe in solution to these problems rather continuing them for electoral gain.
Manali is a hill station situated in Himachal Pradesh, India. Kullu an adjacent hill station is often called together with it as Kullu-Manali. Actually when you plan a trip to Manali spare one day for Kullu also which is famous for Paragliding and rafting. Manikaran another small hill town is associated with Manali which is famous for Manikaran Gurudwara and is visited for its hot springs in that area. By the way my most important aim to visit Manali is to see Rohtang Pass and believe me you need a complete one day to visit that place due to traffic on the way in spite of online permissions given by NGT (National Green Tribunal) to limit the vehicles visited that place. As always I planned to visit Manali and Rohtang pass suddenly on Eid holiday without any pre-planning and went there by private bus on Eid eve.

Rohtang Pass is beautiful throughout the route and at the final destination also. I have seen snow first time in my life there. We explore that place and even played in snow. We eat some food there which we purchased on the way but I am proud we didn't throw the garbage there and kept with us to throw it as soon as we found some suitable place. Since it was a tiring day we were unable to sit back towards home so we spend the night in the hotel. Next day we roamed around Manali as our bus was scheduled in the evening. The people who went to Manali mostly visit Kullu, Manikaran and Rohtang Pass and local sightseeing was done by limited people but the town do have some good places to see like Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar (a garden having activities for children and around the river which flows there) Nature Park ( having old Oak Trees and housed many unseen bird species), Hidimba and Ghatothkach Temple, Manu Tample, Club House. It is better to walk to see these places as Manali traffic remain at standstill most of the times. I suggest that buses and big vehicles should not be allowed inside the town for better flow of traffic during peak season.

Narendra Modi has completed 4 years in office. There are highs and lows in this period but the most significant changes I have observed has really give way to a New India. An India which is confused in its decision has no jobs neither has money to spend.

Muslims and Christians are outsiders they don’t belong to this land and has no right of living here. If they have to stay in this land than they should live as Hindus wants them to live.

Dalits has no chance to climb the ladder in any field in the society. There rise is seen as disgrace to upper caste people.

Economy (Modinomics) is what BJP and the government ministers told and you don’t have any right to question the government’s intention.

Journalist who speak or write against the government will
receive death/rape threats by an organized online mob.

No person in any position has right to ask anything to the Prime Minister, his schemes, progress of his works, etc. If you do so you are anti-national, traitor, Pakistani agent and BJP will send you to Pakistan.

Winning election is everything and you can do anything for that like using corruption money, inviting Jinnah, Nehru and so on.

Compromise on corruption whenever your party, your friends, your allies and yourself are involved.

There are many more things which I have mentioned and wrote in many of my posts and I don't want to be repetitive recalling them again and again. The Bhakht culture and the fake news propaganda has started which is giving me vibes that Narendra Modi will return to power in 2019 also and I have no problem with that if the country's growth, harmony and passion not compromised. But our PM is more like an event manager than a task master which is evident from his renaming of UPA era project to make them his own and his inability to meet his deadlines in projects like Swach Bharat, Namami Gange, etc.

I hope his working in converting India into a Hindu rashtra didn't destroy the idea of India which is of peace, harmony and assimilation.

Looking from the north Karnataka elections are becoming
status question for both Congress and the BJP. On one hand Congress is fully
active in protecting its biggest state rule in country while the BJP is trying to
make its base stronger in the south. Few things I have observed in this election
process and I don’t know how this going to affect the outcome of the result:

which is visible in its targeting Muslims as well as pitching for unified
Hindutva by opposing Lingayat community status as a separate religion and
bringing campaigners like Yogi Adityanath who is playing the propaganda
perfectly.

Congress has an edge with trump card of giving
Lingayat community a separate religion status plus CM Sidhdharamaih has a
positive image of development among the Karnataka people.

By making Y.S.Yedurappa as CM candidate and
giving tickets to corrupt Reddy brothers of Bellari BJP has lost the right to condemn
Congress’s corruption.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appears to be the
only savior of BJP as his multiple rallies are planned in the state.

Both Congress and BJP are not keen on
developmental and people’s issue rather interested n throwing slur at each
other.

Amit Shah has earlier scored self goal by saying
Yedurappa as corrupt.

An eight year old girl was kidnapped, sedated for hours and kept in a pious religious place meant for the main worship. She was raped repeatedly by six men in that state for days. Six men includes a person specially called to ‘satisfy his lust’ from outstation. She was held captive for about a week in January this year after which she was strangled and then hit with a large stone twice to make sure that she was dead. Don’t get angry in disgust before reading the final detail that one man raped her again when she was dead.

Isn’t the incident horrifying and disgusting without knowing about the details of the victim and the accused? Don’t you think these animals like criminals must be hanged as earliest as possible? If yes then you too are an animal in making and you or someone other from your family is going to be part of the mob which would be standing in protecting such criminals.

The kidnapping, rape and killing of the girl Asifa of the Bakherwal community at the Rassana area of Kathua was part of a planned, chilling strategy to instill fear and drive the nomadic tribe out of the region, reveals the 15-page charge-sheet filed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the chief judicial magistrate's court on Monday.

Sanji Ram was allegedly joined by special police officers Deepak Khajuria and Surender Verma, friend Parvesh Kumar or Mannu, Sanji Ram's underage nephew and Sanji Ram's son Vishal Jangotra or "Shamma". According to the charge-sheet, on January 11, Sanji Ram's nephew phoned his cousin Vishal Jangotra and asked him to return from Meerut, where he was studying, if he wanted to "satisfy his lust".

The sad part is that the Bar council of Jammu and some supporters of these criminals including two BJP Ministers in the Mehbooba Mufti government of Jammu & Kashmir has given the incident a communal color and are trying to protect the criminals. The hate is engulfing us fast and the day will come that we even started hating the people in the same family because ‘Hate Gives Rise to Hate only.’ We all must demand #JusticeForAsifa not for her sake but for humanity’s sake which allow us to be human first before attaching to any community/region or religion.

The breach of user data by Facebook appears a mere pass out
news but if you think about it you can shock yourselves with revelations. You
spend your time on Facebook posting things related to you and your lifestyle,
your thinking, your ideology and sometimes it also denotes your financial
status and position in society. Reactions on your post can be judged as people
influenced by you and now think if these things are used by strategists/ analysis
firms to create a strategy to manipulate or influence you without your
knowledge. Is this shocking? If not than think about the apps you connect
through Facebook, in some of them you have used your bank details, personal
identity details and now think if they can be used to create your parallel
identity or did a bank fraud with you. Is it shocks now?

Some will be judged it as a science fiction movie plot but
that is actually happened according to a London based data mining and analysis
firm Cambridge Analytica. They stated that they helped influenced 2014 Indian general
elections by utilizing data of many Indians. Ravi Shankar Prasad confirmed it in
the Parliament house and said that they can summon Mark Zukerberg to India if that news of
data breach by Facebook appears to be true but we can laugh it out because Government
of India if can summon people of other countries than they must summon those
absconding Indians who are taking refuge there after doing big billion frauds.

About 6 million user's data was breached or compromised through Facebook and the founder Mark Zukerberg has apologized for the same but the process can't be undone. So think twice before posting anything on social media and link
only those apps with social sites which are necessary. Delink/Logout from the
apps which you think are useless. Use appropriate security in mobile wallets
and bank apps and avoid opening any irrelevant message or link in mails. Like
Right to life, right to privacy is also a basic human right which must be
protected by every government and for which every citizen must stand to fight.
What are you if you lose your identity? What if someone stole yourself from
you? These things in Indian context appears somewhat sci-fi but when we are getting
subsidies in our name the scams related to it can become reality. People doing
crimes by posing as you can be a truth in such scenario. We have heard about
dead people giving vote. Isn’t it possible that somebody is also enjoying
benefits in the name of dead people?

Sunder Nursery is situated adjacent to Humanyun's Tomb in Nizamuddin Area of Delhi. The nursery was built by Britishers alongside the many Mughal era structures situated in the area. The nursery, monuments and area withered away with time giving this a ruined jungle look but the restoration work done by The Agha Khan Trust and CPWD has completely transformed the area into a beautiful garden with ponds, pathways and bridges.

The restoration work started in 2008-09 is still not completed but major part of the area is now accessible to the public. The monuments has been restored and area around them is developed in a way that it becomes a soothing relaxing area in the hullabaloo of Delhi. I also visited it after reading about its inauguration in newspaper. I was able to spot peacock and many other birds which are unknown to me and I have read that there are many species of butterflies, birds and plants which are unique to the area. Since the development work is still undergoing I can't see butterflies or different bird species around perhaps they were preserved somewhere else during reconstruction period of the area. Although monuments are restored and can be seen by the people.

The entry is free till now and hope it remains free until people started noticing it and it is open for public from morning 9 AM to 4 PM in the evening. The place lacks drinking water and washroom facility which I think is necessary to make this place popular so that families can spend quality time there in the lap of the nature. Overall the place is nice, the fresh air it gives is rare for someone living or coming in Delhi. So everyone must visit it once.

Indifference of the world communities, the power hungry government, Shia-Sunni rivals and international Islamophobic population has ruined an entire nation. The peaceful demonstration which started almost seven years ago against President Bashar-Al-Assad of Syria for criticizing high unemployment, corruption and lack of political freedom turned into a fully fledged civil war with the intervention of foreign nations which resulted in mass killing of innocent civilians including children.

The Russian government is supporting President Assad and bombarding the rebel areas since 2015. Their attacks they say are targeted towards armed rebel but destroying civilian colonies, hospitals and schools. A recent attack has killed 53 civilians including 21 children. While Russia is supporting President Assad for its interest in the area, USA is supporting the rebel forces. Since Assad is Shia and Sunni is the dominant community in Syria countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia has arrived in the conflict to support their side. Iran supports Shia ruler and Saudi Arabia supports Sunni rebels. Islamic State also grew in the area giving opportunity to these countries to freely attack Syria in pretense to kill IS forces.

The UN says at least 250,000 people have been killed. However, the organization stopped updating its figures in August 2015 but those who are dying are adding to the tally on daily.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, reported in December 2017 that it had documented the deaths of more than 346,600 people, including 103,000 civilians. But it noted that the figure did not include 56,900 people who were missing and presumed dead. In February 2016, a think-tank estimated that the conflict had caused 470,000 deaths, either directly or indirectly.

Currently no solution to Syrian crisis is visible because UN lead peace talks has failed several times. Most of the Syrians have become refuges seeking shelter in Europe and neighboring countries of Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey. Some locals in these countries are against Syrian refugees which again has added to their miseries. Russia don’t want President Assad to step down from his post which is the prerequisite at the moment to control the war and bringing all involved parties to the talking table. The world should come together to end this war for the sake of innocent men, women and children getting killed in this war daily.
