Fun, Freedom, Confidence

We the modern generation wants everything instantly. We are ready to go at once rather than waiting for the best time to do a thing. So the things around us must have the capability to match our styles, to match our free spirited self, that's why we keep faster, sleek, stylish smartphones, wear clothes which suits our personality and prefer a vehicle which give us these things but sadly in this category we have little options to explore.

The soon to be launch Datsun rediGo by Nissan provides everything today's generation deserves and demand. Datsun rediGO gives a unique combination of style and comfort, with the best of Japanese technology. The three most interesting features which attracted me towards this modern machine are:

  1. Exterior: It has a modern and sleek design. It doesn't look bulky or a heavy vehicle but a modern machine to drive you across your destinations. With a style to flaunt on roads to make other jealous it doesn't compromises with the safety as it has a strong outer body. Lean and dynamic side character lines give it an appealing look. Best in class ground clearance makes it an easy drive on Indian conditions.
  2. Interior: It has the space for entire family as well as for luggage which makes it a family vehicle. The seating arrangement for five people is spacious giving you enough opportunity to interact with your family or friends you are driving with. The dashboard on your Datsun redi-GO is a thing of beauty. Radio, CD, MP3, USB, Aux-in – it’s all here in one convenient audio system thus fulfilling the entertainment requirement of the whole family.
  3. Comfort: Without comfort any vehicle is useless. If you don't feel relax in your car, you will never prefer to drive long distances. Datsun redi-GO’s 5-speed manual transmission gives you smooth control, with precise shifting for a more seamless response to your demands. Drive computer makes it easy to understand the functioning and superior air-conditioning make you feel at home inside the vehicle.
Beside these things it is fuel efficient and give mileage of around 25 kmpl which I think is commendable for vehicle in this class, small turning radius helps in easy driving on congested areas and help taking easy turns. It has not compromised with safety in providing comfort and style. It has energy absorbing steering and airbags to protect you at the time of accident. Its seats give correct posture to your back making long drive a cake walk.

It would be fun to test it in village areas and see it crossing the raw Indian roads. I would test it for reliability on such roads because if you travel long distances in India then the most part you travel are such kind of roads which are not smooth as in cities. But for its features and characteristics I am sure it's an high end urban vehicle giving you world class feel. What is important is that Japanese companies and technologies understand us Indians better than we know ourselves in terms of driving and comfort. Nissan have done well in the past and with Datsun -rediGo it will definitely impress us in the future.

Fun. Freedom. Confidence. The ultimate Urban Cross - Datsun redi-GO - the capability of a crossover with the convenience of a hatchback.

The Masked Life

The Masked Life

I met with an accident few years back (precisely 10 years ago). It was dangerous and I came out of hospital in about ten days. Except a foot injury which needed dressing every week for around a year I was alright. But that what I and my family thought but as I few days past I realized problems of sore throat, running nose, itching eyes which were watering and initially it was difficult to even face a bright light. I was diagnosed with allergy from almost anything cold water, wind, dust, etc which increases in changing season. Doctor advised me to spend most time in homes and medicines were provided to control the allergy. It cured with time and now I only take single tablet daily to control my allergy. The doctor said to take it only when allergy symptoms appear but they comes out when I stop taking medicine. Now while researching about indoor air pollution I found what force me to take that tablet continuously even when I am mostly home-bound.
We can avoid Indoor ai…

Bitter Bread

Bitter Bread
Bread, doubleroti, pao, bun or we call it with any other name; it is the part of our breakfast which completes our daily routine. This ready to eat item is popular with egg and butter but the recent study by Centre For Science and Environment (CSE) have turned this must breakfast eatable bitter.
CSE conducted test on various samples collected from different part of the capital belonging to different brands. They found 84% samples test positive for potassium bromate and potassium iodate after tests on 38 varieties which include Britannia,Harvest Gold,KFC, McDonalds, Domino's Pizza and Subway. These revelations are shocking and disturbing as all of us have eaten from one of these brands. It should also be noted that these two substances which are used to soften breads and enhance their color and texture namely potassium bromate and potassium iodate are banned in many countries of the world after a study conducted in the 90's. These substances however are not harmful a…

RIP Tom Alter

RIP Tom Alter
I am sure those who grew up in nineties are not unfamiliar with his name. Like many I also has his first image in my mind is of 'British Raj Ka Writer' in Doordarshan serial 'Zabaan Sambhaal Ke' where he played an Englishman writer who is learning Hindi. He was impressive in that role along with the other's worked in it. I later saw him in films like Charas, Karma, Kranti and films like that where he has played bad characters of Firangi (foreign) officer. He played these negative characters impressively and when you compare them with his comic role in Zabaan Sambhalke you will know his acting proves.
I also remembered him as Mahaguru in popular superhero serial Shaktimaan but what inspired me about him later on in my life was his command on Hindi and Urdu. He recite shayaris and ghazals beautifully. I have seen performing him many time on television. I also knew he was a great theater actor but never got any chance to see him live on stage. His ghaz…
