Come Back - A fictional short story.

IndiSpire
EDITION EXPIRES IN... [THU 10 PM]

Edition 179

Almost one year has passed to his death but she is unable to come out of the void his absence has created in her life. It was not just two months of marriage they had spend together but five years of friendship before taking the decision to marry. They knew each other more than themselves and during the years they study together and then work together their compatibility was noticed by all.

‘O god give why did you this to me.’ She curse god again that day also while returning from the work. She has adjusted to her life but couldn’t get over his memories working in the same place they used to work together. ‘Do you want to bring him back,’ she heard a voice from behind but when she turned back no one was there. She walked in the direction of the voice. The voice came several times without anyone around who was speaking those words and that voice took her to the deserted place behind her office road.

‘Come here’ she heard from trees’ behind and saw a hermit sitting there. He indicated her to sit opposite him. ‘I have heard you cursing god for snatching your husband from you.’ He said politely after opening his eyes. ‘Yes,’ she cried,’ HE is cruel to me.’ He listened to her carefully and then spoke,’ see god always has a plan for us but even than I can bring back him so that you can meet him.’ She smiled and was ready for this to happen.

He started some chanting and stopped, ‘before I can do this I wants to tell you something,’ she nodded. ‘You were promoted only after the death of your husband because he delayed it as he wanted you both promoted together. He died of a car accident but if that didn’t happen he soon would suffer a fatal cardiac arrest. Moreover he came back to you only for a short time and that pain of separation which has eased now will be fresh again.’ She listened in shock and even confirmed promotion news from her office. ‘You detached from the world and its people to forget instead you keep him with yourself to live life to its fullest. Don’t go away from him in order to forget him just keep him closer and start a fresh life with him. This will help you to grow further and not stop you to live.’

Those words have magical effect now she doesn’t want to leave his memories but to live his memories with new memories she would make in her life. Calling him back and then separating from him would hurt her more. She now lives a happy life.

Half Girlfriend

Half Girlfriend

Relationships they say completes yourself. As we born god bestowed us with several relations from mother, father, sister, brother to so and so from the extended family. We can’t change them but to live with them. We have certain commitments & duties in them but then there are relationships we make ourselves in the form of friends, boyfriends or girlfriends in which we take easy liberties as we are not supposed to perform some duties or to show some commitments we can enjoy Half Relationships i.e. Association without any Commitment but in reality these are the relationships which shape our lives for good or for bad.

Rahul (name changed) caught in Love at first sight at the moment when Aditi (name changed) asked him the way to her class at the first day of college. Fortunately they both were in same class and call it divine intervention or just coincidence they shared the same bench. It didn’t take much time for these mere strangers to become best friends. Other students in college now have discussions about their friendship. Rahul’s friend wanted him to step ahead in this relationship by sharing bed with her. ‘Yaar! Sex is the next step of every relationship. Cement your boyfriend-girlfriend bond with a night together.’ Rahul thought he could get success in this as Aditi didn’t mind going out with him alone and he has noticed her blushing when he touched or hugged her.

One day Rahul decided to put forth this idea when they were sitting in a corner seat of a Cafe after the college. He was on the verge of saying something when suddenly Aditi stretched her hands to hold his, ‘Rahul more than a year has passed in our friendship and I have never told you this.’ Rahul was smiling inside thinking she was going to utter those three magical words which propel his plan further. He was quiet as she spoke, ‘Rahul thank you for being my friend. I am from a small UP town and it would be difficult for me to adjust here in Delhi if I haven’t get a friend like you who was not like other boys thinking about sex while meeting a prone girl like me or forcing to commit love. I never hesitated from your company because I feel comfortable in it more than my female friends who often talk of their sexual relationships while sitting together. Thank You Rahul! Be a friend like this for me always.’

He was holding them but he knew he has tears in his eyes for his lecherous thinking. This #HalfRelationship was more than anything for him and he promised to maintain this for lifetime. He is maintaining it even today after four years of this incident. Trust in each other is equal to commitments utter through words. People can say that she was his #HalfGirlfriend as in Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name but he considered her a #FullFriend.

Here is the trailer of the film inspired from this novel.

Reflections Of A to Z Challenge

Reflections Of A to Z Challenge

This was my first A to Z challenge participation and I am excited that I have survived it. It was a unique experience in many ways. It extended my writing limits and taught me blogging time management as I visited many blogs during the challenge, commented on each post I visited, followed many and also got few new followers.

I started this A to Z journey without having any specific theme in mind. I just thought to put write ups with the letter of the day but as I wrote I realized that all my fictions were relationship based and each story whether a short story,a 55 fiction,a Drabble (100 word fiction) or even a six word story explored different dimensions of various relationships like a mother discovering a child in Amateur Writer or a strange bond with a stranger in Damsel Of The Night  ,discovery of new love in three part series Girlfriend, obsessive love relation of Mine Forever , marital love of One Day ,betrayal in love of Run Away , bond of friendship in Unusual Demand , relationship with one's dream in Viscous Solution , teacher-student love and respect of two part Zephyr.

I gave a special touch to this challenge by maintaining that not only title of the post depict the letter of the day but each post's first word  starts with that letter. I wants to thank all who have visited and commented on my blogs. I got few re-tweets on Twitter also for which I want to give a special thank to Arlee Bird. Now I am already prepared and excited for the next year. Since there are too many blogger participating in this challenge it becomes difficult to visit all even once. There should be random grouping of blogs under each co- host and one must visit all blogs of one's group and follow them if one likes, that doesn't mean you can't visit blogs in other group but you must cover your own group during that month. This I think will make stronger connections among blogger.

I hope you all liked my blog, please comment if you have some suggestions, appreciations or anything else in your mind. Thanks A to Z challenge team and all co-hosts for providing such a big platform to blogger to connect with each other and a pat on your backs for a wonderful work this year.

Mine Forever - Diary Confessions - 6

Mine Forever - Diary Confessions - 6

"My love for Mohan started when I was a little girl the time when I didn't understand the real meaning of love. We used to play together and my favorite game was when he became husband and I became his wife. This was my dream actually this is my dream. All these years we shared everything with each other. When he went abroad for studies he called me daily. I too keep him updated of happenings here. Love was understood between us. We were close enough that words are not required to confirm our relationship.

Our parents talked many times about our marriage in front of us. We both liked those discussions,I used to shy away from their and he teased me for that making me upset and then amended his mistakes with hugs and kisses and ..... I waited for her return but he disappointed me. He returned with a girl and declared to his parents that he would marry her. It came as a shock to me. We talked almost everyday but he never told me about her. He said that I was his best friend and would understand him better than his parents. He was also my best friend did he understand me ?

I tried to forget him, tried to remove his memories from each corner of my room, from everything that belonged to me,from pillows, from curtains, from walls and from every bit of me. All my efforts were in vain, I found him everywhere. Everything I wear, everything I use was of his choice, my appearance was also as he liked ,I was all his and he should be mine for now and forever. He came few minutes back to give me condolences but it was not enough. I have drank poison and I will die soon to make him mine forever."

She put her diary and pen aside and lay down beside Mohan's dead body.

Everything was going according to the plan. Ejaz was going to the auditions with stubble his clean shaven look bowled over many girls of his area. He became a changed person, his family and neighbors were shocked to see him in this avatar. Rajeev's meeting with Nidhi was also fixed. She met him at the gate of audition site," Hi! Rajeev", " Oh ! Nidhi ! Hi! How are you?" Arjun noticed Surbhi standing at the other side of road. Nidhi pointed out clean shave face of Ejaz ," Oh! He is clean shave, those oaths are over Rajeev?"

Rajeev was puzzled at this question,he didn't know what to say, Arjun and Ejaz left them to talk alone." Nidhi can we talk for sometime." " Ya Sure!" They went to a nearby restaurant ,Rajeev explained that Ejaz shaved for auditions only." It means our relation was not strong enough that you can shave for me", Nidhi asked in anger. Rajeev pacified her by saying that he liked her and wanted to be her friend." But you know that I hate that unclean stubble and it's not much I am asking in our relationship."

" I will discuss the matter with my friends Nidhi" , " then meet me after that when you decide something." She left him alone to think about his stubble. He asked to himself that what was the need of this stubble when they were required to curb their desires. " Now it's time to take some tough decision. I will talk to the gang." He hit the table with his fist and leaved the restaurant.
