Gyanesh It's Done Bro

 Gyanesh It's Done Bro

"Gyanesh, It's Done Bro" is among the famous slogans of protesters against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over allegations of rigging the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) to favor the ruling government, BJP. The controversy intensified after reports that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had raised objections on multiple occasions over decisions connected with the SIR, voter additions and deletions, and the Commission's technology systems. The Indian Express reported at least 14 instances of recorded objections over a period of about 10 months.

Recently, SIR in Bengal before the state assembly elections resulted in the deletion of around 63 lakh voters at one stage of the process. More than 90% of the appeals that had been disposed of reportedly resulted in voters being included in the voter list again. This has also raised doubts among critics about the impact of SIR on the BJP's victory in the state. Earlier, the Leader of the Opposition had also raised questions about such discrepancies in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka SIRs. Interestingly, all these SIRs happened just before the state elections.

Protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar have intensified across India, with demonstrations in Delhi and Mumbai and growing participation from youth groups, opposition parties, student organisations, and civil-society activists. The government's response towards protesters and BJP ministers presenting their views in support of the CEC also raises doubts among the masses. A new law made in 2023, giving legal protection to the CEC in relation to acts done in the discharge of official duty, has also raised concerns among vigilant citizens about the government's intention of protecting the CEC from public scrutiny even after his retirement.

The latest demonstrations on October 2 and 3 saw hundreds of people detained in Delhi, while thousands gathered in Mumbai. Protesters have accused the Election Commission of creating conditions in which legitimate voters could lose their right to vote and have repeatedly raised the slogan demanding that Gyanesh Kumar step down.

Earlier this year, on July 20–21, the nation witnessed police action against students demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, and this time also, police are trying to stop protesters from entering Jantar Mantar, where they planned to protest. Why is the government against protests and discussions? Why has the BJP IT cell started labeling protests as foreign-funded and anti-national? Why does Narendra Modi never speak on issues concerning the nation? Why does the Indian media just present the government's perspective and telecast news in line with the government's position instead of reporting neutrally or critically about the government?

I hope the government, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would take steps to ensure people's trust in the Election Commission of India by taking necessary steps, such as repealing the law giving legal protection to the CEC, changing the selection process for electing the CEC, reviewing the SIR, addressing protesters as fellow Indians rather than anti-government protesters, and finally asking Gyanesh Kumar to resign.

Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya

Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya

Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (Why fear if in love?) that's what exactly Supreme Court meant when a 5 member Chief Justice Dipak Misra lead bench decriminalizes homosexuality by striking down Article 377 of the Indian Penal Court. This is a historical decision for LGBT community who were knocking at courts door again and again for this ruling through Naz Foundation and others. After Right to Privacy become a fundamental right in 2017 it was certain that LGBT community would get this Right To Love.

Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code dating back to 1861, introduced during the British rule of India (modeled on the Buggery Act of 1533) criminalized sexual activities "against the order of nature", including homosexual activities. On 6 September 2018, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that Section 377 was partially unconstitutional "in so far as it criminalizes consensual sexual conduct between adults of the same sex". Though it is still applicable on non-consensual sexual act between adults and on having unnatural sex with children or animals.

This ruling will lead to decrease in crimes against the community due to prejudice and misunderstandings. Love is love as believed by LGBT community is authenticated by Indian Law. Nobody will judge them with derogatory prejudice in their mind. This ruling has made activists hopeful for other cases like Aadhar linkage and making it mandatory in bank accounts and mobile.
Government of India didn't support the idea of decriminalizing homosexuality and left it to the wisdom of court to decide on the validity of Article 377.

Eminent people like Yogi Ramdev of Patanjali group, Yogi Adityanath Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, etc are against the judgement. Rahul Gandhi president of Congress party supported it earlier when Delhi High Court delivered the similar judgement in 2013. Whatever be the politics behind the ruling one thing is clear that LGBT community has got the real freedom today. It also not means that you now observe vulgarity on streets due to this freedom but they can move freely without police fear.

Pray For Kerala

Pray For Kerala

Kerala's most worst flood in 100 years has killed more than 324 people and more than 2 lakh people are living in 1500+ relief camp. It's a natural tragedy and we can only pray for their safeguard. Army, Navy, Coast Guard and NDRF (National Disaster Relief Force) working tirelessly to rescue as many people as possible. The opening of all the gates of almost all the dams in the region has send more water to the flood affected area making relief work more difficult. In some areas water is also entering relief camps.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also surveyed the affected area and released some initial rescue fund to the state. Keralites living in UAE, UK, Australia are all desperate in concern over rescue of their families stranded in floods. Kerala is being ravaged by torrential rains since August 8, which have triggered landslides and floods. It  has disrupted air, rail and road traffic in several places. Public transport has practically disappeared from most parts of the state.

National news channels and newspaper remain ignorant to the condition of Kerala till PM Modi didn't decided to visit Kerala. They remain engaged in covering Independence Day celebration and telecast live funeral of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee when a part of the country is almost submerging in water. The apathy shown to a region of south is really disheartening. At this time we can help by donating to Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund as much as possible to Stand with Kerala at this time.

We can not do anything sitting at such a long distance but we can #PrayForKerala because prayers can travel miles in second. Hope Kerala stand back to its feet soon and the rain Gods give them some respite from the rain.

Is Lynching India is 'New India' ?

Is Lynching India is 'New India' ?

A new trend of mob lynching has emerged in many Indian states mostly ruled by Bhartiya Janata Party shaping Narendra Modi’s ‘New India’. The idea of India is idea of togetherness, inclusiveness and acceptance but the new India works contrary. In this segregation, hate and intolerance hold the importance. Till now mobs were killing people in the name of cow in various places like in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan, some trends of hate crimes also noticed when Muslims, Dalits, Tribals,North East Indians were attacked by group of people. Now the poor and down trodden are attacked by labeling them child lifters.

The dangerous trend is that the online mobs (trolls) have come out in open by instigating people through fake WhatsApp messages to kill innocent people. Even government appointed officer Sukanta Chakraborty was also killed by a mob in the state of Tripura when he was appointed to visit villages and tell people about the fake news. Recently five people were also killed by a mob in Maharashtra on Sunday after rumors spread on social media that they were child traffickers. More than a dozen people have been killed across India since May in violence fueled mainly by messages on the WhatsApp service.

What startled you is that the messages spreading on WhatsApp are almost similar about child trafficking but translated into the local languages of the area where they are circulated. This shows preplanning of such incidents. Sadly all governments are unable to do anything about these incidents. The anger and hate generated through fake social media groups and messages is coming out in the  way of police action as it is difficult to find out the source of the message. People forward fake messages without checking their authenticity and believe that they are true. No one wants that anger filled ‘New India’. How you can call companies in such environment to ‘Make in India’? Is ‘Skill India’ imparting knowledge to gather mobs to kill people? All government schemes will fail if violence will extend to such levels.

The Supreme Court (SC) said in its judgment that mob lynching is a crime no matter what the motive is and added that it is a law and order issue that is the responsibility of state governments. Notably all states which reported such incidents are ruled by BJP and Mr Modi as usual is silent on such an important issue. I request PM Narendra Modi to select issue of ‘Mob Violence’ in this month’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He should speak against these crimes in a strong manner to be understood by people. ‘Mob violence’ is nothing but troll culture (which didn’t even spare External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj ) on streets. PM should start un-following unruly trolls to give a strong message to the nation.

We all should stand and say in one voice that we don’t want such hate filled ‘ New India.

Kashmir Issue and Ram Mandir

Kashmir Issue and Ram Mandir

From last 30 years two issues are making headlines in Indian media: Kashmir problem and Ayodhya Ram Mandir. India is dealing with both the issues almost from independence and even before that because Babri Masjid issue was also in the list of concern of British India and ownership of Kashmir was always discussed with the last ruler of state Raja Hari Singh. Let’s not go much in the core and history of both the issues but one thing we can conclude from the developments of last 30 years is that both the issues are making mockery of Indian democracy arriving in the limelight on every onset of General elections or elections in the Hindi speaking belt.

There are issues through which political parties played through the emotions of people mostly in the northern India and these two are the leaders of most famous propaganda technique. Observe closely and you will find that people who are speaking of article 370, Kashmir constitution and relation of army with Kashmiris are not aware of the ground reality there; they are not even close to the people living there. One thing which can I deduce is that government of India, government of Pakistan and the separatist no one has an authentic solution of the situation but when things were at peace people are willing to discuss out the solution or the midway of all these problems. Biggest problem is that Indian government is not willing to accept Kashmir as disputed territory in spite of the fact it was not ruled by Indian constitution and the huge army is deployed there to maintain peace.

The recent development of breaking away of PDP-BJP coalition also points in the direction that right now no set Kashmir policy is available with present government and more use of muscle power only taking away India from people’s heart. Now come to the Ram Mandir issue. India witnessed biggest slur on democracy in independent India with the demolition of Babri Masjid. Age long continuations of harmony broke at that point and make a permanent crack in Hindu-Muslim unity giving way to altercations in the future. But since then the matter is in court and no solution is coming out of the process even when both the parties are ready to accept any court decision.

You can see sadhu and saints coming out in open for demanding Ram Mandir every time elections are round the corner. We really need people and leaders who believe in solution to these problems rather continuing them for electoral gain.

Ruined State - Syria

Ruined State - Syria

Indifference of the world communities, the power hungry government, Shia-Sunni rivals and international Islamophobic population has ruined an entire nation. The peaceful demonstration which started almost seven years ago against President Bashar-Al-Assad of Syria for criticizing high unemployment, corruption and lack of political freedom turned into a fully fledged civil war with the intervention of foreign nations which resulted in mass killing of innocent civilians including children.

The Russian government is supporting President Assad and bombarding the rebel areas since 2015. Their attacks they say are targeted towards armed rebel but destroying civilian colonies, hospitals and schools. A recent attack has killed 53 civilians including 21 children. While Russia is supporting President Assad for its interest in the area, USA is supporting the rebel forces. Since Assad is Shia and Sunni is the dominant community in Syria countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia has arrived in the conflict to support their side. Iran supports Shia ruler and Saudi Arabia supports Sunni rebels. Islamic State also grew in the area giving opportunity to these countries to freely attack Syria in pretense to kill IS forces.

The UN says at least 250,000 people have been killed. However, the organization stopped updating its figures in August 2015 but those who are dying are adding to the tally on daily.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, reported in December 2017 that it had documented the deaths of more than 346,600 people, including 103,000 civilians. But it noted that the figure did not include 56,900 people who were missing and presumed dead. In February 2016, a think-tank estimated that the conflict had caused 470,000 deaths, either directly or indirectly.

Currently no solution to Syrian crisis is visible because UN lead peace talks has failed several times. Most of the Syrians have become refuges seeking shelter in Europe and neighboring countries of Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey. Some locals in these countries are against Syrian refugees which again has added to their miseries. Russia don’t want President Assad to step down from his post which is the prerequisite at the moment to control the war and bringing all involved parties to the talking table. The world should come together to end this war for the sake of innocent men, women and children getting killed in this war daily.

Great India to Hate India!

Great India to Hate India !

Great India to Hate India! What have we done to ourselves and why? In last three and a half years the propagandists have reduced a large population to murderers in the name of religion which has actually nothing to do with it. A Muslim laborer Afrazul Khan from West Bengal was brutally killed by Shambhunath Raiger in Rajsmand district of Rajasthan on issue of so called ‘Love Jihad’. Afrazul was attacked with ax and then burned alive by Shambhunath and his teenage nephew recorded all that was happening along with message of Shambhunath in which he shows no regret for the killing. The video is later circulated shamelessly. Think of his teenage nephew who was filled with so much hate that he can't stopped his uncle but filmed the killing.

Was this done by Shambhunath alone? The answer strangely comes to a big no because this is the result of hate mongering against Muslim population brewing in the name of Love Jihad, outsiders, terrorists, Pakistan agent, Beef eater, cow killer, etc. Both the social media and mainstream media are equally responsible for giving wind to this fire. False news is circulated through facebook and whatsapp group throughout India in a way they appear truth and thus make many believe to this false stories. Sadly many of us do take interest in these stories by further spreading them.

When before last three and a half years you heard about a mob attacking someone for keeping meat in his fridge, or for buying cattle for his dairy business, or drivers killed & hanged just for transporting cows from one place to another, or a boy murdered by a group for wearing a skull cap in train, or this recent one when a Muslim is killed just on suspicion of trying to marry a Hindu girl? Some people/political parties/organizations are trying to make you murders and you are becoming one as mutely being a spectator to all this nonsense is also equals to supporting the brutality. Invoking incidents/personalities of the past which has no one seen and which cannot be changed someone is snatching a beautiful present from you plus not letting you to think about the glorious future we all can make together as Indians.

Here counting Muslim contributions to India will also make me believe that Muslims are outsiders and did something great for the country they came while the truth is that Muslims are as much part of India as anyone else and what they did was their duty. Ignoring debates on poverty, farmers’ issues, Dalit issues, education, healthcare, police reforms will only worsen the situation of the country. By neglecting them we can hide from them but can’t solve them.

Again hoping against hope that people like Shambhunath will think about their family if not for nation before thinking of committing such crime. Till then GOD BLESS INDIA.

Ek Judge Ki Maut!

Ek Judge Ki Maut!

If this news can’t raise your eyebrows and instill fear in you nothing can. If a judge constitutionally responsible for giving justice and who has and the people around him have some protocols to follow died in such a mysterious way how much our lives are important? I am talking about the recent story of The Caravan Magazine by journalist Niranjan Takle of death of Judge Brijgopal Harkishan Loya who was presiding over Sohrabuddin Encounter Trial in which BJP President Amit Shah was an accused then because after his death on 1st December 2014 Amit Shah was removed from all the charges by the new judge on 30th December 2014.

Neither I nor the report accusing anybody but the procedure followed and things happened after his death. It was reported that he was died of a cardiac arrest while he has no previous history of any heart ailment. Secondly his postmortem was conducted without informing his family about his death and his body was taken to his village instead of Mumbai where he lived with his wife & son. Nobody knows why this happen and nobody ever ordered any inquiry in the matter. There are many other things which was neglected or not probed by any agency. Many questions are unanswered like:
  1. Why police or any other person informed justice Loya's family about his death?
  2. A person claiming his cousin (Chachera Bhai) who signed his postmortem report and claimed body from the hospital is not known to the family. Who was he? Where was he when Loya's body reached his village?
  3. Why only Judge's driver transported body alone to his village? Where were other two judges accompanied him to the marriage of a fellow judge's daughter in Nagpur?
  4. Why Justice Loya's shirt has blood stain on it?
  5. No police report, no panchnama. Why?
  6. How an RSS worker was aware of the death and what was his role in all this.
  7. Why from a VIP lodge of Nagpur where he was staying along with many other high profile guests he was carried to hospital in an auto rickshaw?
  8. Who suggested that hospital which have non working ECG unit?
These and many other points are raised by the family in conversation to the journalist which you can read in the detail report here. (A Family Breaks Its Silence: Shocking Details Emerge In Death Of Judge Presiding Over Sohrabuddin Trial). My question is to the silence of media who was discussing ‘Padmavati’ on prime time in their Newsrooms with none other than Karni Sena. My question is also to the Supreme Court and other courts that are silent on the suspicious death of their fellow judge. We have watched this happen in movies where people who were against some politician or party leader were either killed or threatened to silence or bribed. We have the right to know what has happened in this case.

Who killed justice Loya? Because from the way all things take place it is clearly not a simple case of heart attack death but something more suspicious, mysterious and doubtful. Those who are reading this must read the detailed Caravan Magazine story which is available in both Hindi & English and must react to the incident not just to ensure Justice Loya’s family that we are with them but to ensure ourselves that Victory lies ahead of fear.

Tragic Muzaffarnagar Train Accident

Tragic Muzaffarnagar Train Accident

More than 20 people were killed and 70 were injured as 14 of the 23 coaches of the Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express derailed in Khatauli near Muzaffarnagar on Saturday 19th August 2017. While it sounds silly that only 23 people have died in the accident according to railways when coaches were laying over one another the reason saddened me more. Train was allowed on under-construction track even when officials have notification for the same.

This is 27th fatal accident of the year and in a country where Lal Bahadur Shastri once resigned on a single accident as a Railway Minister his successors are not affected by anything. Ticket prices are increasing every year on pretext of security arrangements yet passengers are falling trap to that danger again and again. Who to blame when the system needs a repair and people are still worshiping leaders without showing concern to any national problem. The amount we are spending on building single Bullet Train track is enough to revamp the current railway system than why government didn’t take Japan’s help in this revamp rather in bullet train construction.

Faults on tracks are measured manually by some people designated for the job while many world nations are using machines and equipment for the work. Didn’t we need them also? I am sure more than 200 people have died in the derailment because two coaches are badly damaged but railway or the government has usual way to decrease the number of deceased to pay lower compensation. When even a single death should be considered a slur on any nation such multiple deaths are not enough to wake us. Tragically what is important to us today is Triple Talaq, Article 370, VandeMataram, Beef Ban, Ram Mandir and other drifting & similar dividing issues.

Always has hope and is determined for a better India I am closing this post with expectation to write something hopeful. God Bless India.

Gorakhpur Tragedy

Gorakhpur Tragedy

source : The Indian Express

Amid increase crime report in UP where after swearing in of Yogi Adityanath as chief minister cases of murders, kidnapping, dacoities, rape, etc has increased many folds the fresh news came of the negligence in government hospital. At least 60 children have died over five days at the state-run Baba Raghav Das Medical College hospital in Gorakhpur.  The deaths are being blamed on infections and possible disruption of oxygen supply in the pediatric ward.

The administration has rejected the claims of shortage of Oxygen as reason for deaths but the increase supply of Oxygen cylinders in the morning after the news broke out indicating otherwise. Isn’t it the negligence of the government hospital administration, health minister and Chief minister? Incidentally Gorakhpur was Yogi Adityanath’s Lok Sabha constituency. No compensation can fill the void of death of innocent children but there must be a time bound probe of the reasons behind the death and culprits must be punished honestly. Responsibility of the health minister and his department must also be fixed in the case to avoid such negligence in the future. For me this should be considered as culpable homicide.

Yogi’s government instead of giving time to governance and development is busy in promoting Hindutva. While I have no problem with Hindutva agenda but it should not be done at the cost of innocent lives and dragging the state behind from its current position. Recently unnecessary forcing Madarsas to prove their patriotism by making video of their Independence Day celebration is drifting away from development issues since most Madarsas from the time of independence already hoist national flag in their premises. Making Vande Mataram compulsory in government schools which is a controversial issue also is a deviation in governance goal unless this is their only goal. Communal clashes have increased in the part of UP besides other crimes which should not be done if they believe in Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.

Death of even one innocent is loss to the nation and here 60 children who have yet to see this beautiful world died due to inefficiency of few. Chief Minister should look into the matter himself for faster action. This incident spoils Independence Day celebration due in few days. Till next post God Bless India.

Braid Cutting - Truth or Rumors?

Braid Cutting - Truth or Rumor?

Mysterious braid (choti) cutting incidents has happened in Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi where women mostly around 50 years of age has their braids cut without their knowledge by some invisible source causing fear among women in these areas. Women also fell unconscious during the time of braid cutting which left them clueless about the attacker and made the incident mysterious. Police who have recorded the statements of victims deny any black magic involved in this which is rumored in the video circulated in social media groups. They are asserting that some miscreants are behind the incident.

The video allegedly claims that a woman is on a mission to cut 1008 women braids in order to get invisibility power according to a black magic ritual. I heard this news around a month ago from someone whose relatives live in Rajasthan. The incident was not in news at that time, I denied him saying that these are rumors or acts of miscreants and I still believe miscreants and anti-social elements has role in all this. Sad part of the story is that a 65 year woman who went outside to relive herself at night in a village near Agra was killed by people believing her to be a witch responsible for cutting braids.

We may know the truth in some time or the rumors die out a natural death but for the time being we need to remain calm and restrict ourselves in spreading any kind of rumors. This is second time in my life that I am witnessing such situation when such rumor mongering reached to national news debates. First time it happened in 2001 when rumors of monkey man created fear in people of Delhi. Then it was also proved to be a hoax and who knows something secretive has done by someone during the rumor period and the news was only to divert police & people somewhere else.

In this braid cutting news also there are more rumors than truth. One or two isolated incidents are hyped so much to create fear among women. People I have heard that started applying turmeric hand prints on their doors to keep away evil. Lemon-Chilli (Nimbu-Mirchi) was also hanged for the same purpose by some at their doors. Superstition in our country just need a chance to fly high and the incident has gave that chance. Hope the fake news ends soon because we already have many around to divert our attentions. Good bye. God Bless India.

Week Round Up #2

Week Round Up #2

We got our 14th President this week Ramnath Kovind and I am sorry to say except he is from Teli community which belongs to Schedule Caste list in Gujarat I knew nothing about him. This community is 26-27% in Gujarat which is bound to poll this year so this could be seen as strategy to lure that community voter and also Dalits who are drifting from BJP after violence on them bu so called Gau Rakshaks. Anyway I will read more about him in coming days to know our President more but at the present scenario I have no doubt in saying that he will be the rubber stamp President for the government. I will be more than happy if he proves me wrong.

As far as foreign policy is concerned India has dwindled in past three years of Modi government. China and Pakistan who were friendly earlier on bilateral relationship are now showing eyes to the country. Recently China government attacked India’s stand on Doklam region of Bhutan and warned them of dire consequences if India army doesn’t step back. Unconfirmed news also talks about Indian casualties in that area. We only hope situation improves not only with China but also in Kashmir where most of the people have lost their faith in the central and the state government. Here praying for 39 Indians who disappeared in Iraq and are still untraceable to the government.

Congress has another setback this time in Gujarat where Shankar Singh Waghela their most trusted leader left the party and joined BJP. Three more MLAs followed him. This time also BJP is not facing any tough opposition in Gujarat which means their victory is eminent. But the biggest news of the week or I should say of the year is Nitish Kumar’s resignation as a Mahagadhbandhan CM and then swearing in as a JDU-BJP alliance CM. Nitish Kumar has been unpredictable in the past too but here when he was criticizing Narendra Modi and his government on various issues and formed an alliance with RJD-Congress to stop the communal forces his move to collaborate with him is surprising.

Income Tax, ED and CBI are inquiring about Lalu Yadav, Tejaswi Yadav and their family involvement in corruption then why Nitish who didn’t even demand his deputy’s resignation was in so haste to align with BJP. They say that politics has no permanent enemies or foes but situations which decide the course of action. It is now up to Bihar citizen how to react in the situation. Lots of things are happening in the country and the world and we must keep an eye on each one of them to remain acquainted with the present and possible future. Good Bye. God Bless India.

Lynch Raj

Lynch Raj

An aged man keeping meet in home, a milkman transporting cattle for milking, rumors of child kidnapper, a policeman conducting his duties or you just innocent Muslim boys going home for Eid, this give enough reason to criminal mobs to lynch innocents without any respect and fear for the law. From last three years since the Modi government came in power these lynching of innocent people by mob has increased manifolds many of which are conducted by radicalized Hindu youths in the name of protecting ‘Mother Cow’ and their tradition forgetting about innocent humans they have killed in this process. Latest incident happened with three Muslim brothers going home in a train from Delhi to Mathura after Eid shopping in Delhi.

A group of 10-12 men between 7-8 pm attacked them and stabbed one Junaid to death while two others are battling for life in Delhi hospital. The brutality with which they were attacked and the hatred filled in the criminal mob can be judge by seeing the blood painted compartment of the train they traveled. Yesterday a lynching incident also happened in Kashmir when Mohammad Ayub Pandit a police officer with J & K police lynched by the mob when he opposed protesters & stone palters. J & K which says itself different from mainland India shows similarity with rest of India with this lynching incident. Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Assam, Jharkhand or wherever these incidents take place the state as well as central government neither condemning it strongly nor taking strong actions against the accused as a result they are becoming more and more dangerous.

Nothing could be more condemnable than the attack on innocent people whether it’s Mohammad Akhlaq, Pehlu Khan or Una Dalits their identity as Indians were questioned in these attacks. PM of India is showing dreams of New India to its billions of population; I just want to ask him, is the new India he is boosting filled with anger and frustration enough to kill innocent people? Are the blood stained hands requisite to enter this new India? If not then he should broke his silence on these issues. India has a rich heritage and tradition one regime can’t curb it but can disturb it for the time being. The Us versus Them mentality has creating animosity between the communities and the castes resulting in nothing but hatred and as we know hatred must bring hatred not love. People must use their conscience to tackle these emotional issues used to instigate to kill eachother. We are not criminals so we must work to stop this #LynchRaj.

Mehnat Karne Wale!

Mehnat Karne Wale!

There is an old Hindi song from the movie Mazdoor(1983) which says ' Hum Mehnatkash Is Duniya Se Jab Apna Hissa Mangenge, Ek Baagh Nahin Ek Khet Nahin Hum Saari Duniya Mangenge'  it means that working class if ever ask for its share from the world then it wouldn't be just a garden or a field but the whole world. It in simple language implies that the world is created by working class and they have complete right on each and every thing. This song resonates in my mind yesterday (6th June 2017) when I watched the news of farmers killing in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur who are protesting for increase in MSP (Minimum Support Price) which is less than their actual cost of production.

At least 6 farmers killed in this police firing and many injured. I didn't understand why the need for firing on farmers arise who were protesting for their rights. We say that farmers are important to us because they provide us food but in the name of facilities to their service to nation governments have given them nothing. Farmers' suicide is at all time high. In last three years of Modi government it has increased up to 40% in spite of various promises like increase in MSP by this government. Unless these announcements on rallies become reality on papers nothing could help the farmers. The middle class the so called lifeline of the country who feel like fighting on borders in case of killing of soldiers didn't feel the boil in their blood in the case of farmers killing.

The unrest in farmers is not new. It was constant in all governments in last fifteen years with around 234642 farmers suicide in India highest in states of Maharshtra (56215), Madhya Pradesh (19278) and Chattisgarh (16153) two of these states (MP and Chattigarh) are ruled by BJP in these fifteen years. Don't we have concern for our farmers? Didn't we at the time of framing policies consider farmers first? If not then it's a serious issue because we don't have either a second option for their employment and the country where unemployed are increasing alarmingly creating more unemployed will double the problem.

I strongly condemn these farmers killing in Mandsaur and appeal the governments for loan waiver. If Uttar Pradesh can waive off farmers' loan then why not these states which are also ruled by BJP. Media houses which are ignoring such important issue should introspect on their credibility. Licking government boots will only instill misinformation in minds of the people. I also like to appeal citizen of this country to make your opinion about an issue by collecting information from different sources rather than depending on one channel or newspaper or social media. Till next post God Bless India.

AAP Yahan Aaye Kis Liye !

AAP Yahan Aaye Kis Liye !

Aam Aadmi Party or AAP came into politics to revive it. Arvind Kejriwal the convener of the party said during the formation of the party that to clean the filth in the gutter one must have to go inside the gutter. (Rajniti ke gatar ka gachra saaf karne ke liye usme utarna hi padega). The party which emerged from a nationwide movement gave hope of betterment to millions won majority in Delhi Assembly polls of 2012 in its first attempt and form government with the support of the Congress. This government last for only 29 days in Arvind Kejriwal’s ambition to become Prime Minister of India ( Hawa Mein Udne Lage The) as the party fought in almost every constituency more than any other party of the country. Desh Mein Jhadu Chala Denge they used to said.

Their ambitions fall flat when they won only four seats. The splits in the party started then when some fractions blamed the party for deviating from the path. Even then they won 2013 Delhi assembly elections with a huge majority washing out both BJP & Congress by attracting poor and the middle class. But Ye Politics Hai Meri Jaan, you have to be alert at each corner two stalwarts and founding members Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan along with few others left the party for Arvind Kejriwal’s authoritarian behavior.(Hum Angrezo Ke Zamane Ke Jailer Hain). The party which showed us the dream of change appeared similar to others. After that incident the blame game politics started in which they alleged either Congress or BJP for conspiring against them. Media’s portrayal of the issues rose by them was also selective enough in maligning their image as of anti-national and supporters of Pakistan as a result their other outings in Punjab and Goa polls failed. Moreover they lost in a by-poll in Delhi and later MCD polls after which another split begins which hit the core foundation of the party. Ghar Ka Bhedi Lanka Dhaye.

Kapil Mishra former minister in the Delhi cabinet did a Bhanda Phod in the media after his removal from ministerial post after Kumar Vishwas controversy where Kumar appeared angry with the party. With Kapil Mishra’s allegations of corruption on face of anti-corruption from last five years Arvind Kejriwal another nail is nailed in the party’s coffin. The core foundation is attacked. Although Kapil Mishra didn’t disclose why he remained silent on corruption when he was minister, what he was doing during the deal was made and other such questions but his allegations has dent party’s image further. With this episode it is also cleared that we have to live with the corrupt and disloyal politicians for many more years to come since questions were raised on anti-corruption crusaders.
People are now asking AAP Yahan Aaye Kisliye and there answer of Aapne Bulaya Isliye has not many takers now. Breaking of hope is always painful and until we get another hope God Bless India.

Mera Bharat Mahan?

Mera Bharat Mahan?

Country is going down at each front except 'Divide & Rule'

Unique Identification Numbers for cows, reviving lost river Saraswati by filling its so called route with artificial water, editing textbooks to change name of discoverers and inventors with ancient sages, Anti-Romeo Police Squad to arrest couples roaming on UP roads or meeting at some public parks, demolition of achievements of earlier government (Hall of Nation & Hall of Industries in Pragrati Maidan, Delhi) , name changing of roads, airports and cities, etc. These and many other such things right now are the priorities of current right wing BJP governments in nation and in states.

I wouldn’t have any problems with these things if government was doing enough for farmers, soldiers and poor Indians. I won’t point out at these things even when internal security is not at risk. But I have to point out these things because we have no CRPF chief for two months the agency which losing its life at every troubled area of the country recently been in Sukhma, Chattisgarh where 26 CRPF soldiers killed by Naxals, no Central Information Commissioner the head of RTI agency responsible for transparent governance. Moreover this agency is going to tweak down by government with some new guidelines. Forget about the Lokpal head, the movement for which Anna Hazare left his hometown and arrived in New Delhi to target central government which created nationwide steer is nowhere in place for last three years.

Kashmir is out of control, intelligence failure in each Naxal attack, Gau Rakshaks (Cow vigilantes) violence increasing, attacks on minorities all these things shows weakening internal security. Job creation is below the expectation and the condition of the farmers is also not very good resulting in increased suicide cases. How we can forget these things in garb of fake nationalism which has nothing to do with nation? The nation is suffering badly from all sides which even foreign media has pointed in several occasions. No one knows how worse situation will become in coming months if things are not controlled properly.

Only the clean image and oratory skills of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has polished with the time which BJP is using as a shield to cover its shortcomings and attract the voters who still have faith in him for India’s transformation. I think not to speak and write about the current governments shortcomings but I am unable to keep mum at instance of breaking of national and social fabric of the country. The society is divided into two parts now more than any other time in the recent history of India. Only we the people by raising our voices to these things can curb such things and make the government accountable for its shortcomings. It is much needed now. GOD BLESS INDIA.

Death of Democracy

Death of Democracy

Democracy thrives with the participation of people in the process of government formation. For this voting percentage is set as a mark of people’s trust in democracy. So what to conclude from the statistic of meager 7.14% voters’ turnout? It means people have lost trust in the established government. The statistics I am quoting is from the Lok Sabha by polls of Srinagar constituency of Kashmir Valley. These violent elections also took away 8 innocent lives with clashes between protesters and security forces.

Kashmir Valley is at unrest since the formation of BJP-PDP alliance government. The incidents of protests has increased so is the case of violent protests. The trust with army has further declined among the people with increased incidents of use of pellet guns on the protesters and the stone pelters. More than hundred received serious injuries from pellet guns injuries last year which includes children who have lost their eyesight and many others who have received permanent disability. The current government has lost trust of the people with the incidents like Beef-Ban attacks, Vande Mataram row and many such incidents. The youth which looked more engaged with the mainland India before this government has detached itself again from the country.

Kashmir students were beaten in many universities of the country and in many others they were treated as agent of Pakistan by the ABVP affiliated students. ABVP which is the student wing of RSS has retorted to violence not only with Kashmir students but with all those students who supported liberal thinking. Kashmir needs our trust more than anything else. If we believe they are our own then we must believe in them also. Labeling every Kashmiri as a terrorist and Pakistan sympathizer will only drift them away from India. The separatist and Pakistan took advantage of that mistrust to lure unemployed youth to fall in their trap.

Looking back again to low voter turnout in Srinagar Lok Sabha by polls hints to that increasing mistrust in Kashmir people. These elections hold no value and must be annulled at once. Election Commission should also set a lower limit for the voter turnout for the elections to be valid. Lots of work has to be done by both the center and the state governments to bring back Kashmir people to them. I hope government will look at Kashmir issue with a different perspective without any prejudice and misconception. God Bless Kashmir.

History Repeats Itself

History Repeats Itself

"Maharajah Abhay Singh of Jodhpur required wood for the construction of his new palace. So the king sent his soldiers to cut trees in the nearby region of Khejarli, where the village is filled with the large number of trees. But when Amrita Devi and local villagers came to know about it, they opposed the king's men. The feudal party told her that if she wanted the trees to be spared, she would have to give them money as a bribe. She refused to acknowledge this demand and told them that she would consider it as an act of insult to her religious faith and would rather give away her life to save the green trees. Thus many innocents were killed by soldiers to fulfill king's will."

Above story is famous among Bishnoi Samaj of Rajasthan who worship animals, trees and other natural resources as part of their faith. Nearly two centuries later history repeats itself when a 28-year-old woman was burnt alive in her village near Jodhpur on Sunday allegedly for protesting the chopping of a tree. What is more shocking is the involvement of village Sarpanch and government revenue officer in the crime. Police has lodged FIR against 10 people including these two. Rajasthan is a desert land trees hold more importance there than any other place in India. Such acts by government officials and the people who have power again took us to the dark ages of autocratic rulers which can do whatever. The accused must be severely punished to stop such crimes in the future.

History repeat itself also in The Kapil Sharma Show where Sunil Grover (who played characters like Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi) detached himself from the show after misbehavior by Kapil Sharma in a return flight from Australia. Kapil allegedly abused Sunil Grover and Chandan who played tea-seller in the show. Sunil Grover left the show after this incidents along with Chandan, Ali and Sugandha. It is reported that show garnered lesser TRPs this weak without these comedians. Similar TRP drop was resulted earlier too when the show Comedy Nights with Kapil aired on Colors TV and Sunil left the show after altercation with Kapil.

As a fan of the show I hope everything get back to normal because the show was genuinely lacked energy and fun this weekend. History also repeated when BJP's choice for Yogi Adityanath as UP CM was criticized against the idea of new India promoted by PM Narender Modi. BJP supporters as always labelled these people anti-nationals who must leave for Pakistan. History also repeated in the matter of Aadhar card which was made mandatory by central government in-spite Supreme Court's order. Supreme Court order denial has repeated by government in several occasions. Moreover this move is interference in people's privacy. London terror attack was also an example of history repeat.

History will repeat many times in the course of making new historical events but I hope and wish this happens in a positive way. God Bless India.

Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander

Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander

The result of the assembly seats of five states i.e Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Punjab and Goa stood at 2 – 3 where Modi’s BJP won Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand with a humongous majority while Congress clean sweeps Punjab and has an edge in both Goa & Manipur which indicates they are likely to form government there. In Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand there is clear advantage Narender Modi as he single handily lead the campaign and sidelined every opposition. Congress – Samajwadi Party alliance against Narendra Modi’s Bhartiya Janata Party failed miserably even though his speeches, his actions were labeled by the opposition as ways of polarizing the people of the state.

Punjab witnessed victory of Capatain Amrinder Singh more than the Congress party who’s Vice President Rahul Gandhi was initially against fielding him as the Chief Minister. In Manipur Congress’s Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh succeeded in securing his fourth term as the chief minister. Irom Sharmila lost to him pathetically. The lady who gave all his life to the cause of the people can’t secure even hundred votes. The surprise in Manipur is the tremendous debut of BJP which won twenty one seats. Uttarakhand also gave clear majority to BJP, even the rebel MLA’s didn’t post any threat to the party there. Aam Aadmi Party performed poorly both in Goa and Punjab. In Goa it didn’t even open its account and there Punjab performance was poor than in the Lok Sabha elections of 2014.

These elections have some teachings not only for the people who lost and won but for all of us. I have tried to include them in this list:

  • Never order DJ and sweets believing on Exit polls. If AAP has Prevented Early Excitement they would have save themselves from embarrassment in public and media.
  • Victory is important and not the way how you have earned it. We have learned all our lives that it is important to play fairly than to win by wrong means but Prime Minister Modi proved it wrong. His Shamshaan-Kabristaan remark was purely communal, without permit road show in Varanasi was also wrong so is the conduct of some of his party people (Kasab remark) to polarize the election. But in the end they won and these issues didn't matter now.
  • Live your own life that's what we learn from the struggle and failure of Irom Sharmila. The iron lady of Manipur who was on the longest hunger strike to protest against brutalities of AFSPA even when she has wished to have a family live. She didn't even secure more than 90 votes. She wanted to work for her people but what she has earned is discouraging for her. NOTA votes were higher than her votes.
  •  Listen to everyone before making your opinion. If Rahul Gandhi would not settle on Amrinder Singh the party wouldn't have won the elections.
  • Young is through attitude and not through age. Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav who were projecting them as young leaders failed to perform against dynamic, energetic Narender Modi.
  • Laugh on other's pain. That is the biggest lesson of this elections. When everybody believed that demonetization which has affected farmers, laborers, small businesses badly would have negative effect on election results instead becomes fruitful for BJP because poor was happy to face its pain because those who have money are in trouble. Strange thinking isn't it?
  • Grapes are sour. Mayawati's claims after defeat that EVMs were tempered without proof establish this saying again.
Elections will come and teach us something always. This is the flavor of democracy that somebody wins and somebody loses. I hope those who are forming government do good for the people and the country. Till next post God Bless India.

Kerala Killings

Kerala Killings

Kerala has become the battleground for Left and Right ideology. While the people there believe in left and also has voted it to power several times the right wing party BJP is also trying to stretch its feet to that part of the country as well. RSS the parent body of BJP is working in that direction for so many years and Prime Minister Narender Modi also trying hard to make his party’s presence felt in this area as he was doing in the North-East region of the country.

I don’t have the problems with anybody trying to influence the people there for their political gains but I have problems with the ongoing killings of people attached to or working for these ideologies. I don’t know the ground realities of Kerala but what I have understood from newspaper reports and TV coverage of that area I can say that Kerala government for over the years has failed in maintaining law and order in many parts of the state. Either a BJP/RSS man killed by Left thinkers or the CPI/CPM member killed by Right thinkers and in both the scenarios local people were forced to live in the atmosphere of fear.  Those involved in this crimes are either escaped or if arrested didn’t receive serious punishments on time.

It is the duty of government to ensure law and order in the state. Not a single political death should occur in the state. Both the parties should resolve their differences peacefully in a democratic manner. These killings used by these parties (mostly by BJP) to spread hatred in other parts of the country should also be stopped and for that police must act swiftly. The correct facts should also be made public by the police because many killings which are for personal enmity also used to spread propaganda against each other nationwide. We are a democratic country where every ideology should be respected unless it don’t create rift in the society. The workers and the followers take care that they don’t become the pawn in the hands of their leaders for their political motives.

I hope Kerala government impartially investigate all killings to give justice to the victims as quickly as possible and preventive measures should be taken for stop such crimes in the future. Let god’s own country a peaceful place. God Bless Kerala. God Bless India.
