Countdown 2018 #3

Countdown 2018 #3

Today is the last day of the year 2017 and after two series of countdown to 2018 we have almost covered events of half of the year. Now lets talk about rest of the year. This year also saw the implementation of Goods & Services Tax (GST) in India which disturbed many small businesses resulted in nationwide agitation against the bill. Government has given some relief to them with some changes in it but the bill still not profitable for the country as revenue generation has decreased. Bengal witnessed communal riots in Basirhat area and also the Darjeeling agitation. Both the events took months to come back to normalcy. Iraq said to be liberated by ISIS and Nitish Kumar again resigned as chief minister of Bihar this time to form government with BJP support.

Rumors of braid cutting of women spread in northern region of India which engulfed this region in fear. A saddening incident of death of more than 64 infants happened in Gorakhpur, UP. The more astonishing is that they all died due to lack of Oxygen which was not available in the hospital at that time. Historical 'Right To Privacy' granted by a judgement of a Supreme Court bench which open ways to end Aadhar mandatory and can lift many ban like liquor ban, beef ban, same sex marriage ban, etc. Supreme Court also made Instant Triple Talaq illegal which prompted central government to bring a law to end it which was passed by Lok Sabha in the winter session. Self styled god-man Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted in rape case resulted in opening of a Pandora's box of his wrongdoing. There was violence in Panchkula on the day he was convicted by his supporters.

Gauri Lankesh an ardent voice against superstitions and RSS was killed by some unknown people possibly from the right wing prompted 'Not In My Name' protests by intellectuals & liberals. A seven year old kid Pradyuman was killed inside his school. Police arrested the bus driver but it was later found when CBI inquired that a senior student has killed him. Famous actor Tom Alter, Shashi Kapoor and Jaane Bhi Do Yaro directer Kundan Shah passed away. News of Amit Shah's son Jay Shah's corruption was revealed by 'The Wire' but no other media house dared to telecast this news.  Similarly a news revelation of mysterious death of Justice Loya who was associated with judgement of Sohrabuddin case in which Amit Shah was accused was also ignored by media.

Lalu Prasad Yadav convicted in 'Fodder Scam' but no one did '2G Scam' and 'Adarsh Society Scam' as all accused was liberated by the court. The year ended with the tragic incident of 'Kamla Mills Fire' killed many innocents for the negligence & corruption of authorities. Here is a video with the glimpse of the events of the year.

Sayonara 2016

Sayonara 2016

The start of 2016 was marked with Pathankot attacks and after that their was no looking back at the bad stories of this year. Pathankot attacks, Uri Attacks, Rohith Vemula suicide after which nationwide student's protest was there against the government which give rise to anti-national debate after sloganeering in JNU campus Delhi, rise of Kanhaiya Kumar, this year also saw several terrorist attacks in Brussels,Berlin, Turkey, etc and the continuing struggle for life of people of Syria, if there was a fight for race to President's post between Hillary & Trump in USA so there was consensus on Brexit in Britain, Mohammad Ali,Jayalalithaa, etc left us this year.

An important part of India Kashmir remain in unrest after the death of militant Burhan Wani which still not came out completely from the tense situation. The demonetization of Rs 1000 & Rs 500 notes during the end of the year halted the nation which finding it difficult to come to normalcy in the near future, Vijay Malaya escaped the clutches of government and there seems less seriousness on investigations on the names come out in Panama Paper leaks, who can forget the picture of Dana Manjhi carrying his wife's dead body on his soldiers or of long queues outside banks after note ban. This year was full of troubles around the world.

But that doesn't mean there were no instances of happiness or togetherness. Free Hugs movement in America try to spread love in the wake of racial abuses, Rio Olympics and T20 Cricket World Cup championship brought togetherness in the world, ISRO successfully launched many satellites in space and world stood united in the air of terrorism. It was a mixed year we can say but we can always hope for a better year, for better future and for better conditions for mankind to flourish. Happy New Year.

Here I have made a video showcasing almost all the events of the year.

LOL - Laugh Out Loud

LOL - Laugh Out Loud

In our tension filled life, we hardly get any chance to laugh. I ran a manufacturing unit with my brother where we make male ethnic garments like Kurta Pajama, Sherwani, Indo-Westerns, Nehru Jacket and Suits. There we also face the similar tension filled atmosphere to complete orders and to handle working staff but this cutting master of ours is a stress buster. This dance video was recorded by another employee who encouraged him that he dances well , now you decide he dance well or not but one thing is guaranteed that you will laugh out loud after seeing this.

Note: If you are injurious to laughing don't watch this video.

Here is the real Indian belly dance:

Pack Up 2015

Pack Up 2015

Only few hours left to down the curtains for 2015. It's 'Samay Samapt Hone Ki Goshna' for 2015 the year which gave us 365 days to learn, to love, to fight, to hug, to make enemies, to make friends it was our call how we have used it. The coming year have 366 days i.e one day more than this year to think, act and do something better than before, to mend our mistakes and to try ones more for a failed attempt.

Lets look back at events of this year and pack up its memories. While searching about events of this year I realized that we have more bad news and negativity this year like Paris Attack, Charlie Hebdo attack, Nepal Earthquake, Love Jihad, Ghar Wapsi, Intolerance, Beef Ban, Award Wapsi, Nepal border problems, Chennai floods, inflation in Dal prices, Syria migrant crisis, floating Rohingya Muslims of Burma, farmers suicide, racial abuses, riots and the list pile on and on and on but lets take out good from them. Humanity found new hope when people open their gates for refugees , Love wins with gay/lesbian marriage legalization in USA, helps poured from all corners for farmers, Nepal earthquake and Chennai floods removed all caste, color and religion barrier between people of Chennai. World became more united in the time of crisis. If somethings have not bring something positive then they became our mistakes and given us new opportunity to learn.

World now looks more united against terrorism and India looked more concerned for development. So leave all what you think not good in this year, learn from mistakes and resolute for a fresh more powerful start. I have compiled events of this year into a video with words from my poem 'New Year, New Beginning'. Till next year God bless India, God bless the world, Happy New Year to all.

Kitne Ajeeb Rishte Hain Yahan Pe

Kitne Ajeeb Rishte Hain Yahan Pe.

Sheena Bora Murder Case is more mysterious than a Bollywood suspense thriller. The case is much more than a TRP gathering news item, it shows the high ambitions and complicated relationships in the high society or page three people which in this case lead to murder of a daughter at hands of a mother.

Some interesting and shocking points of this case:

  • Indrani Mukherjea introduced her daughter from previous marriage Sheena as her sister to her third husband Peter Mukherjea. Why?
  • What is the reason behind this murder is still unknown.
  • Who helped Indrani in hiding the death for almost three years?
  • Why no body contacted Sheena in America where according to Indrani she was doing some course?
  • If Mikhail was aware of Sheena's death than why was he silent for so long?
  • How is it possible that Rahul knew Sheena was Indrani's daughter but his father Peter was unaware of this reality.
  • What is the role played by Indrani's second husband Sanjeev Khanna?
It is not right to say much about the case since it is still under investigation and my views without facts would mislead my readers. Wait for its climax which is waiting behind some more twists and turns.I have made this video with characters of this incidents.

The Death Under The Feet

The Death Under The Feet

Earthquake is a natural disaster which we can't predict, from which we can't run away. Where would a person go when the ground below his/her feet his shaking. It is difficult to escape from it and only your luck and precautions help you live in such a situation. After the Nepal Earthquake of April 25 death toll of which has increased to 5000+ till now you must be aware of the precautions you must take during earthquakes thanks to our print and television media.

But I want to highlight that nature is forcefully altered for human gains which are resulting in loss of human lives much more than expected from such calamities. The mushrooming hotels, resorts and human settlements in hilly terrains are protruding by cutting trees and damaging natural structures resulting in natural imbalance. Moreover the construction work on such places are not done according to the environment of those places. Earlier people used wood, soil and rocks to construct their houses in mountain areas which are now replaced by bricks, mortar and cements. The houses constructed with modern technology causes more destruction than those build with ancient technology.

The destruction by Uttarakhand flood and now by Nepal earthquake should be taken as warning signals from the Almighty to amend our ways. We should also use technological advances in building houses in such areas but according to the environmental and ecological conditions. Trees must be preserved in any ways. It is true that we can't predict earthquake but we can predict the damage caused by it if we started rating our buildings and houses for safety in earthquake.

The world today stand in support of Nepal for quick recovery from the damage caused by earthquake. The help of Indian government is also remarkable in this scenario. But few people find opportunity in such calamities to make money. Today everyone is asking for donations for victims of earthquake but few actually send money and things to the right place, so you must donate cautiously so that your hard earned money reaches to the right place. Prime Minister Relief Fund, NGO's of media houses and some government approved NGO's are better place to donate.

I pray to god for the quick recovery of the injured and peace for those who have lost their loved one in this disaster. India specially parts of  Bihar is also affected by this earthquake I pray for quick relief for them also. Below is a video showing extent of damage caused to life, property and history by the earthquake.

Ye Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye To Kya Hai !

Ye Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye To Kya Hai !

Ye Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye To Kya Hai is a famous song sung by Mohammad Rafi, written by Sahir Ludhianvi and music composed by S. D. Burman for Guru Dutt staring Pyasa (1957). These lines aptly describes the condition of the farmers who are currently dying almost everyday after the damage of their crops due to untimely rain and hailstorm. They are thinking what's the benefit if I get this world.

The debt ridden farmers have no hope from the world, governments and system to wait for any compensation thanks to their previous experiences resulting in their suicides. According to some media studies approximately 45 farmers are committing suicide daily in Vidarbha region (Maharashtra), Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Telangana and Madhya Pradesh. These are also the regions responsible for major agrarian product contributors to the GDP of India if condition there is so pathetic you can easily imagine the other areas with poor farmers. It is shameful that we are doing nothing for our 60% population dependent on agriculture.

The most horrifying thing about the whole crop damage and suicide problem of farmers is that neither the state governments nor the central government is serious for their sorry condition. Union Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari's remark that farmers shouldn't rely on god or government for help shows how serious government is about this issue. Even affected land area measurement by different government agencies are having different figures confusing the whole scenario.

What hurts more is the fact we city people who came out on roads for rape victims, corruption issue never lend their support to farmers who feed us by providing food. The bloggers who have a big impact on online news and information also avoid such issues. Twitter never trends with farmers plight. Let's hope that some relief should be send immediately to farmers without waiting for the evaluation of the damage and steps like loan waiver, help for new crop, etc should be taken to make them stand again on their feet. Yesterday was the Earth Day and no one but farmers are the most near to her. They are the true son of soil and I pray on this Earth Day for new ray of hope for farmers.

The Leader He Never Was

The Leader He Never Was

Aggressive, progressive, regressive no one really know who Rahul Gandhi is. He looks like a Messiah for the underprivileged at times and on another occasions he looks as a burden for the party. What he wants to do with party or the politics is still the secret after 11 years of him in active politics. If he is not interested in it then he must leave it and do what he really does well because we don't even know about his qualifications however if he is interested then party must trust him and follow his ideals.

I am not among those Twitter Trenders who makes mockery of people by making fun of them but his return after a long holiday reminded me of a song in Zakhm ( Ajay Devgn, Pooja Bhatt starring movie of the 90's 'Gali Mein Aaj Chand Nikla' sung by Alka Yagnik) seeing Congress's hope in him. And after not so successful year of Modi government India has also some hope in him to be alternative for Modi in future. Here is a video song dedicated to Congress and Rahul Gandhi.

Look Back 2014 : A Video Post

Look Back 2014

Happy New Year to all, 2015 has arrived and with it the last your has gone for always inking some memories in our minds. I have already described that in a poem on my poetry blog. The poem The Gone Year(2014) has tried to collect all moments of the previous year. Here in this video I have collected all those moments in pictures.

Let Children Be Children

Let Children Be Children

14th November is the birthday of India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru which is celebrated as children's day in India due to his love and fondness to children. He always interacted with them and they used to call him 'Chacha Nehru' (Uncle Nehru). This year we are celebrating his 125th birth anniversary so I decided to raise some issues related to children.

The children are the most important part of our society as they are the future of the country. What we will give them today they will return to us in the future. So if we want a better society, a better state , a better nation and a better world we must take the best care of our children. Their proper growth is crucial for the proper growth of the society and this is possible only when we let children be themselves and not try to make them someone else.

Today in order to get higher TRP's reality shows compel children to behave like adults, they are forced to dance and talk like grown ups, they make them wear vulgar dresses and so on. Similarly some organisations trained them to kill , they filled hatred in they minds and believe me hatred will only make way for more hatred. Such malignant treatment of children is very dangerous. Many children work due to poor financial conditions of their family and in developing country like India we have millions of children in this condition. Their are laws to prevent them but there implementation is almost negligible. When poverty is not giving them proper food how we expect them to grow to their full potential and discover their inner strengths. They are not voters so why concern about their problems. But it is sad to say we elders have also not raised children problems like increasing burden of education, proper facilities in school, problem of malnutrition ,etc.

For a better tomorrow we should hear to their silent yearnings to let them be themselves. Let them be innocent children learning different things as they progresses in life and we playing the role of their guides telling them about the good and the bad. And for the underprivileged children we should help them as much as possible. There is an organisation Akshaya Patra which is bringing such children to schools by helping in providing meals in schools.

I hope a children's day where every child would be happy is near. I have made a video dedicated to all children using a song from Hindi movie Taare Zamin Par ( Like Stars on earth) starring Aamir Khan and Darshil Safary in lead roles

Is Jeevan Ka Yahi Hai Rangroop !

Is Jeevan Ka Yahi Hai Rangroop ! ( This is the color of life ! )

Part of India Series

उम्र-ए-दराज़ मांग कर लाए थे चार दिन,
दो आरज़ू में कट गए दो इंतज़ार में।
Umr-e-daraaz maang kar laye the chaar din,
Do aarzu mein kat gaye do intezaar mein.

(Having asked for long life,I brought back four days,

Two passed in yearning and two in waiting I spend.)

Bahadur Shah Zafar's couplet aptly fits on Lal Krishan Advani the senior most leader of ruling party ( Bhartiya Janata Party ) of India who extended his political carrier in this elections in hope of some miracle that he would become PM of India but on the contrary he remained the only person to be regarded as a PM in waiting in Indian political sphere.

He was in the party since its formation as Jana Sangh in 1951 along with former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He played a significant role in its formation as Bhartiya Janata Party in 1980 and was among the founder members. He remained a stalwart leader until the emergence of Narender Modi who reduced him to a mere spectator in the party.

His political life is an example of how life changes its color. Once a deputy PM and a nominated candidate for PM post is now dropped from decision making parliamentary board of the party and is shifted to the newly formed Margdarshak Mandal ( Guidance Board ) along with Murli Manohar Joshi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee , Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and Narender Modi with inclusion of current top leadership in this group its evident that senior leader would hardly get any work to do.

The party which always criticized Congress for its treatment of senior members have sent their most senior and popular leaders to a dormant board whose function is still not clear, that too just by releasing a press note. From last one year when Narender Modi became the PM candidate for BJP , L.K.Advani's place in the party is challenged. His U-turn from the resignation from all party posts in 2013 has dented his more image in public and media. I don't know why he fought under Modi's leadership when it was decided that Modi was a PM candidate and no 75+ MP would get a place in the cabinet? He might have thought that party would consider him to negotiate with other parties for support if BJP wouldn't get majority but the historical mandate put water on his desires and dragged him further down in the party.

There is downfall of every sun, closure of each chapter, change of each season, new for every old. He became the part of that series. Other senior party members who were loyalist of Narender Modi are promoted as governors of various states while He and Joshi remained hopeful for some better retirement policy considering their party as a traditional one where elders are respected. It is like sending elders to old age homes after transferring property to their names. But I also think that he was somewhere or the other was aware of such treatment being sidelined by RSS and party for about a year.

When he was the face of hardliner Hindutva policy he was hailed by party and Sangh and when he started transforming into a much appealing national leader he was marginalized. He remained a vital element of Indian politics throughout his career whether in good or in bad. I have prepared this video with a song in Kishore Kumar's voice from the movie Piya Ka Ghar below for him and hope that he understand that such things are part and parcel of a politician , Ye jivan hai is jivan ka yahi hai rangroop ! ( This is life and such is the color of this life.)
