Nature's Friend

Nature's Friend

We all are part of nature as nature is part of us. In today's fast paced life when we are leaving in concrete jungles where we just see patches of greenery as decorative material ,title of my post is not justified. Nature's Friend? Are we? I think the most answers we will get for this question is no. The reasons are told many times and by many people. Rapid urbanization provide less opportunity to enjoy nature.Years ago when we city people have roots in our villages then we used to have chances to be in nature's lap during children's vacation . With latest trends that routine has also became a thing of the past. Now vacations are laden with homework and projects thus outings are limited to shopping at the mall or movie watching or a visit to amusement park.

When my sisters' children visit our home,I found them indulged in video games or cartoons. My niece who haven't reached two also enjoys only television and mobile touching in her father's phone or my phone. That's why I dropped the idea to write about this contest by kissan because I don't have such experiences and children around me are indoorians ( those who enjoy being indoors) but an incident few days ago changed my perception.

My niece while watching a photograph in her father's phone stretched her arms to be caught by someone in that photograph who was standing in a farm. She cried to be at that place in the photo which took our attention to her. She reacted in the same way when other photographs of that place from some one's vacation ( Facebook pics of my brother's friend) was shown to her. She was never been to such a place which is green, full of plants and trees, some photos were showing their interactions with farm animals. We laughed at her behavior. Next day my brother decided to take her to a nearby park, she enjoyed a lot among plants, she ran to catch butterflies ( my brother took photographs of her but I will show them only when she would give me permission). This was her first interaction with nature and a lovely one I should say, her father brought her forcefully from there.

I will repeat my first line again that we all are part of nature as nature is part of us. It was nature inside her which filled her with so much joy when in its company for the first time. She now go to the park daily with her father which have also initiated health consciousness in my brother. He walked in park as she play around ( I am still lazy though and prefer to sleep at that time of the morning). We are now planning to experience nature in these summer holidays when my sisters' children will also at home.

We have separated nature from our life. Cold drinks have taken places of fresh fruit juices, canned fruits have replaced fresh fruits, some of us don't even know how some fruits and vegetables look, so how will we tell about them to children? They learn about them only from textbooks. The charm of full moon light is alien to today's children. Everywhere ,everything is artificial ,the essence of real is missing. Like Kissan  I also believe that happy childhoods are best nurtured by true friendship and an environment that is 100% real. It's time we start nurturing those happy childhoods with children around us by giving them everything which is made up of things which are 100% real and natural like Kissan Tomato Ketchup. Let them connect to nature by indulging them in planting a seed or watering the plants and things like that.

Exchanged Luck

Exchanged Luck

" Entrance of his office is difficult to cross but after that everything will be easy," Vinayak gave him five Rs 1000 note for this information. Vinayak was an investigative journalist who was planning for a sting operation on Urban Development Minister D.Rajan. An insider from his office gave each detail about minister. Vinayak and his team fixed everything, they planned to offer him money disguised as some builder to have the government land allotted for an amusement park to make their building.

It was an open secret that Urban Development Minister Mr D. Rajan is corrupt. Trapping him in this sting was a definite explosive story which would grab attention of all prime time news viewers. Vinayak's team fixed a meeting with minister. Everything was going according to the plan, they passed the guards at the gate without hidden camera being caught by them. They started their conversation with D.Rajan to expose his covetous side to the public. But to their surprise he declined to accept the bribe and to entertain their cause.

" Sir! This amusement park is a necessity of the people for recreation purposes. Moreover it will increase our tourism." He point towards the door and said them to leave. Vinayak also planned for a raid at his office by Anti-Corruption Unit( A.C.U)and it was almost the time of their coming but Rajan haven't touched the money yet. This could put Vinayak in trouble. When A.C.U raided they didn't find Rajan guilty instead they took Vinayak and others in custody for unethical sting operation." Officer can I have a word with Mr.Vinayak." Rajan stopped A.C.U officer and talked with Vinayak separately.

" Vinayak you are looking surprised at my honesty and at our exchanged luck." " Yes I am." He smiled and said," As you have sources in my office I too have sources in yours,I know It was a trap, which changed my colors completely." Vinayak stood silent than laughed and went away with A.C.U. He laughed because for a second he had thought that D.Rajan was an honest politician a rare species in our country.

Change The Game

Change The Game

Cricket's position in today's India is beyond any challenge by any other game, thus cricketers also enjoyed the godly status whereas other games are neglected, forget about the international presence we don't have national presence and interest in these games. The players of other sports than cricket are not known faces of the country. Their earnings are almost negligible as compare to earnings of cricketers. They lived harsh life without any facilities by government. The dream of a sportsperson to be cheered by the crowd of their country also remained unfulfilled. The condition of women in such sports is more frightening.

Women players in addition face social obligations. Even their families don't support them as girls are supposed to cover their body, they can't play in front of so many men, they are not allowed to go far away from the house alone and so on. The same is the case with Bhabani Munda and her Dooars XI of West Bengal. It's a women football team from Dooars in West Bengal. In spite of winning various medals and trophies they don't have proper sports shoes, jerseys and football. They support their dream and passion by selling rotis and tea. Half Stories - Do Right by Tata Capital initiative has highlighted this issue and helping them to buy those sports essential things.

In my opinion if we want to promote other sports we should take help of two other big things in the country Cricket and Cinema. Chak de starring Shah Rukh Khan helped a lot in promoting the cause of Indian Women's Hockey while endorsement of Men's Hockey by cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Verender Sehwag brought spectators during Indian Hockey League. Initially we can complete this half story by giving donations to Dooars XI through Do right to buy shoes and other accessories but the long term solution requires complete planning.

Organizing football matches along with cricket matches during IPL  (Indian Premier League) as experimental basis would indulge the audience with football. We Indians are big fans of international footballers, arranging friendly matches with European teams is also a good idea. This is election time so ask your candidates, your favorite parties ,your leaders about their policies regarding promotion of sports other than cricket. What are their plans of sports development in rural areas from where we get most of our finest sports talent. So lets pledge to Change The Game by changing our attitude towards other sports.

Amateur Writer

Amateur Writer

A childless couple in late forties decided to keep a Paying Guest. The location and atmosphere of their house suits the best to an amateur writer Pawan who came to their house. Mr and Mrs. Mehta who were living a lonely life found a good companion in them. He also likes to talk to them and spent a lot of time discussing various things. When Mr. Rahul was off to work he even help Anjali in cooking and other household works. In only few months his rapport with them became as if they knew each other for years.

Anjali was happy after almost twenty years when they lost hope to be parents again due to an accident. This accident was responsible for her miscarriage and to bring impotency in Rahul. Rahul knew how much void Anjali experienced all through these years ,people and relatives blamed her but she never spoke anything. Their adoption application was rejected several times after which they dropped the plan of adoption. But after seeing Anjali happy with Pawan,Rahul was planning something else. He had seen her in pain of being childless without any fault of her. Rahul could be one who can fathered their child. He decided to converse with them one by one to make them ready to have a baby whom he could give his own name.

One night he thought to share that idea with Anjali," Anjali I want to say something about Pawan." " Even I want to say something Rahul. You know what he told me today." " What?" " He said that he lost his parents in infancy, all his life he longed for parents a loving mother and a caring father,he said he finds them in us, he said that he wants to call me 'Ma'(mother) and you Papa" Rahul has tears in his eyes,he was speechless. He was wanting a child from Pawan while Anjali found their child in an amateur writer.

Diary Confessions - 5

Diary Confessions - 5

"It is true. I was tempted by her beauty. Her looks were intoxicating. I first saw her outside the cinema hall at M.G. Road where she was waiting for a taxi. I offered her lift in my car. I was surprised when she didn't refuse my offer but the depth of her eyes worked as doubt eraser. Soon we become good friends and then husband and wife. I married her against my family's wish,my father wanted his friend's daughter as my wife but his love for me made him accept her as his daughter-in-law."

"We all were happy my father,my mother,my younger brother and sister they all accepted her and she was also mixing well with them. But that happiness was short-lived. My parents died in a car accident,my sister eloped from the house and later found raped and murdered on city road. My younger brother committed suicide in strange circumstances. I too wanted to kill my self but how could I found peace if there were tears in her eyes. People said that my wife was behind all these things. I never listened to any one. Yes I was tempted." As he stopped writing police constable came to take him to the gallows. He was sentenced to death for killing his wife.

One day when he came back early from the office,he saw her performing some strange rituals. Two other men were also there. He heard her saying that she had completely took his control by bewitchment chants due to which he didn't notice that she murdered his family." Now do something that he will also give his business to me and my darling". She kissed a man sitting beside her. He cried like a child for what he has lost after being tempted by her beauty while she was behind her as she was tempted by his wealth. He went to the study where he kept his licensed revolver and brought it to shoot all of them.

Bumper Sale

Bumper Sale

Everybody in our locality was talking about the new shop opened in the area and its bumper sale

" Yaar, all branded items no fakes" ,my friend said.

"But, how can one give such huge discounts when company have no such offers on other shops selling the same brand." " Brother discounts are not the only thing, you got scratch coupons on purchase above Rs 5999 with sure prices like TV sets, washing machine, etc."

" On the spot, prices?" " No, prices will be delivered to your homes within a month, one more thing which will shock you more." " What? A cashback for credit card purchase."

" No, cashback of 10% on cash purchases above Rs 10,000." "I am sure they must be stealing somewhere."

" You always doubt everyone." Then he gave me some knowledge of their honesty that how they called and gave Mr. Sharma the T - shirt he forgot in store and returned extra money given by Karan Uncle while purchasing a pair of Jeans.

" Chal na yaar! we should also go and shop there. In spite of such good offers ,we can still bargain for more" " Really! But I don't like places with so much crowd that's why I mostly prefer online shopping."

" But do they offer cashback." " I have not searched much but there must be sites which offer cashback but anyways I earn reward points on my debit card and I am happy with them."

He forced me to go with him,I denied but soon succumbed to his pressure," Let's go tomorrow morning , few people shop at that time." " Ok."

Next morning he came calling me fully charged up with energy and money and we went to that shop.

" Oh! It is close. Today must be their holiday." " No its a seven day open shop, let's ask someone"

I saw a police constable standing outside that shop. He told us that they have sealed the shop because they were selling stolen goods, the owner was absconding.

" They were selling fresh stocks with company tags, how they were stealing," my friend asked in surprise. " They were stealing from company warehouse, the warehouse keeper and the gate keeper were involved in that. They were doing it from last ten days."

My friend was shocked, the shop was opened ten days ago. They were selling as much they could before being caught by the company.

Casback, discount and coupons do exists and their are many sites online which offer this facility, one of such site is gopaisa.com.

Immortal Love

Immortal Love

"It was love at first sight. I never thought that I will become crazy like that for someone. For days I thought what was happening is real or a mirage, how can someone be so beautiful. She moved so smoothly, her impact was permanent and straight in to your heart. I am sure today will be the D day the day she will touch me and I will get a chance to feel her. All these days I saw her interacting with others without even looking at me but my heart  was feeling her from her fragrance. Her curvy body, her swan like neck, her deer like movement,I don't have words to explain her beauty. I have calculated and now I think the wait is over she is coming to me in 10,9,8,7..." Adil tear the last page to note something then rolled the paper and threw it into the dustbin. His meeting with his love the ball pen remain incomplete. But he was satisfied for the fact that incomplete love stories become immortal. " One day all lovers will swear by the name of paper & pen when in love."

Malaysia - Truly Asia

Malaysia - Truly Asia

Since when I saw the TV commercial of Malaysia Tourism with I tag line of Malaysia - Truly Asia it became my first choice for foreign holidays.  Malaysia is very much like India in its multiculturalism and diversity that might attract me towards it at the first glance. They also practice many religions like us so one can definitely experience beautiful mosques, churches, etc. My first impression of Malaysia than was of a mini India but a lot more organised and well maintained. This contest gave me a chance to explore Malaysia more.

How can one select only 5 things to experience in a country like Malaysia when they have whole of the world in them world heritage sites like George Town - Penang,Melaka City - Melaka, beautiful hill station in the form of Cameron Highland in Pehang, engineering marvels of Kualalumpur Petronas Tower and KL tower, BBKLCC stretch shopping experience, mesmerizing nature's paradise like Sepilok Nature Reserve in Sebah or Mulu National Park in Sarawak, etc.,Putra Mosque,St.John's Fort,Legoland, Malaysia has offerings for everyone, there are destinations for shopaholic, nature lovers, adventurers, culture lover, religious souls, food lovers, travelers and above all peace lovers if one wants some peaceful time for oneself than Malaysia is a place to visit.

I have selected following five dream destinations to visit in Malaysia

1. Petronas Twin Towers : The twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur is synonymous with Malaysia. Whenever one imagines Malaysia view of world's tallest twin towers comes in mind, the bridge connecting both the towers is also the highest twin storey bridge in the world. These towers are landmark of Kuala Lumpur with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower. An example of modern architecture has traditionally inspired interiors. Night view of the skyscraper make you forget everything around. These towers tops my list in things to experience in Malaysia.

2.Jalan Alor - Kuala Lumpur :The name of this place is in my mind since I hear it first in a food based show in which contestant prepared a dish famous in this food street. I have forgotten the name of that dish but Jalan Alor resonates in my mind being a food lover. We in Delhi always wish for such a food street in Chandni Chowk where one can feel the foods of our nation. So such a destination for me is a dream come true. Its full of stalls at sidewalks of the food which represents Malaysia. I believe in eat and let eat, that place seems to be perfect for me a foody by birth.

3. Kinabalu Park - Sabah : I knew Mount Kinabalu from my school days as highest mountain peak in Malaysia now I know that Malaysia has developed Kinabalu National Park in that area which is also UNESCO's world heritage site for outstanding universal values and the role as one of the most important biological sites in the world with more than 4,500 species of flora and fauna, including 326 bird and around 100 mammal species. How can one restricted in a concrete jungle miss such a green heaven full of gifts of nature. A site to experience mountain trekking and hot natural springs.

4.Kabili-Sepilok Nature Reserve - Sebah: The credit of visit to that reserve goes only to Orangutan. This reserve is responsible for rescue and rehabilitation of endangered species of orangutan. Baby orangutans from logging sites, plantations, illegal hunting or kept as pets were rescued and then trained to survive in the wild since the opening of the rehabilitation center in 1964. I who haven't seen a normal monkey from close fascinates to see orangutan. Moreover this place is natural rain forest with many species of vegetation. I have heard about the tours in that area it will be fun to experience one of them.

5.Tioman Island - Pahang : That destination deserves the place owing to its serene beaches. Away from the hullabaloo of city life this place is relaxing. I first came to know about this island through Discovery Channel in the list among the best beaches of the world. Not only that it is a famous scuba diving spot in Malaysia. One can also have the experience of varied aquatic life. If you see pictures of that place you will surely want to be pictured in that area. It is not much populated and serves as an inspiring place for a writer, musician, director or anybody related to the creative field.

It is difficult to select the best mango from the bucket of ripened mangoes similarly it is difficult to select few places out of so many destinations in Malaysia and it becomes more troublesome when every place is your dream travel destination. Malaysian destinations comes in the list of Times's magazine must visit travel destinations before you die. Many Indian films were shot in Malaysia. It comes in the list of F1 race organizers, fashion show event and award functions were also held there. I am sure it is a dream for not only  me but many around the world.

I am participating in the MalaysiaJao Blogathon Contest in association with BlogAdda.com.

Note: While I was writing about Malaysia the MH370 Flight Incident was lingering in my mind hoping for some miracle to happen which save all the passengers in that flight. I hope you all will pray the same while reading this write up.

Self Identity

Self Identity

" Today's final award for Social Change at this 6th Annual Women For Change Award on the occasion of International Women's Day goes to Mrs. Shalini", host called her on the stage where a famous film star presented her the trophy. It was never easy for her to be at this position.

Ten years ago she was married to a reputed businessman of her city. It was dream come true for her as well as her family. A middle class family like theirs always wished for a son-in-law like him,he was well settled ,having big bank balance and even promised Shalini that she could pursue her dream of being a fashion designer even after their marriage. She was excited to have such a husband so understanding and loving but that love ended soon.

She faced daily abuses from him, not allowed to go anywhere or to talk to anybody. He used to beat her when she said anything against him. She became a slave in her house of dreams. Her family and friends met her only in his presence. The phone given to her was like a showpiece which he used to give his orders.Things went on like this for five years when her father died. He told her not to attend her father's funeral but that was a limit. At that point she recollected all her self respect which he broke into pieces gained all the strength to take the decision to leave him,to realize the power a women possess,to show him what she was capable of.

She became a fashion designer, earned a respectable living and then started working for those women who faces physical and mental abuses by their husband. She was thinking about all those years of struggle passed while receiving her award a journalist interrupted her thoughts," Madam what inspires you to work for those women." She smiled and said," this conversation with my ex husband when my father died", she showed her text conversation with her husband to journalists on her phone.

" I wants to go my home my father is no more."
" I am not in the city we will go tomorrow,"
" But my father died" " Shut up you b***h, don't argue with me,I gave you food, clothes, everything,I am your father,I am your God."
" I am going." " You can go but never to return I will take care to ruin your life there also."
" I will go Prakash"
"$#****,+@&*$, be in your limits. I am coming now than I see how you will go."
"k"

He come but she was not afraid instead he stopped his hand and hit him back, she took a wooden rod and hit him till he became unconscious. She went to her father's house and called the police. Police arrested him, no body helps anyone until you help yourself that's what she tell to other women come to her for help. That conversation helped him to gain her lost self respect and to take the initiative to inculcate the same to others. One's own identity and existence is important before anything and anyone in this world.

Paan Khaye Uncle Ji Hamaro

Paan Khaye Uncle Ji Hamaro! ( My Uncle Eats Paan)

Manufacturing is a serious business and that too garment manufacturing, you need to be serious every time. Kabhi kabhi to dimaag ki waat lag jati hai. Being associated with that I also remain serious most of the time, but the business itself gave you chances to laugh out loud all your seriousness and worries in the form of some characters involved with it.( I feel like laughing remembering many of them.) Here I want to share an experience with one of our dealer from eastern Uttar Pardesh. I found most of the buyers from the group of people jinki #conditionserioushai but that one incident happened six years ago was special and still lingers in my mind.

Let me first tell you what I was doing in Lucknow. We have a manufacturing business where we make men's ethnic wear sherwani, designer suits, kurta sets, etc. We held biyearly exhibition in different cities to display our new collection for winter and summer. This was for the retailers in Uttar Pradesh at Hotel Park Inn, Lucknow, I think this hotel now has a different name. Our agents for the state brings various dealer to that hotel where we show them our collection and took order for the same par business ki detail mein jane se achcha hai ki mein point par aaon. I should now come to the point.

This was my first trip to such exhibition. On the second day of the event our agent brought a man there,he had already told us that he was very selective , a big dealer from eastern UP but a bit khadoos ( annoying ) . I am hiding his native city and his name for business purposes. He came inside the room with paan (Betel) in his mouth. From his first sight he looked as a person jiski condition serious thi. If 5-star would have been with me at that time,I would have offered him to bhagao his seriousness. He gestured with his hands to show designs without saying anything. He was watching each one closely and rejecting it in an instant, all were silently looking at him while I was observing his face. His mouth was filled with betel leaves, his motion of chewing them was moving his whole face in a funny way,red liquid was oozing out from his mouth, his facial expressions were suggesting that he would not going to order any design.

Since we knew that he always gave big orders and his payment is also on time from our sources we were hoping that he at least order a single design to initiate business with us but he stood up without any order and said ' Chalo bhai!'( Let's go) to our agent. Oops! With paan in your mouth you should be cautious while speaking. He emitted liquid residue of betel on a sherwani ( Groom's wedding attire) the most expensive of our collection and on his own shirt. All of us looked at him seriously which we got from him. It was then he smiled spit the remaining paan in spit-box kept for those who chew paan. He again sat down and said," Bansal Ji , ye wale design dobara dekhaiye,'( Mr.Bansal show these designs again) to our agent. He started giving order design after design,I was controlling my laughter at that time, soon he selected 90% of designs which he rejected before. He called his driver to bring his cheque book and issued a cheque as an advance payment to indicate that it was a confirm order.

While going he said with smile on his face," Ye wali sherwani ka dekh lena, sorry yaar."( Sorry! Please look into that sherwani.) " " Koi baat nahin sir, ye to hota rehta hai."( It's not a problem, such things happen) replied Mr Bansal and escorted him to his car. We break into laughter when he left. The paan stain worked as Cadbury 5 - Star in taking away his seriousness and gave us a huge order. One of our employee sang ' paan khaye sanyan hamaro' in satirical way to put a Bollywood tadka to the situation whose wordings I changed to ' paan khaye uncle hamaro mehngi sherwani par peek laal-laal."( My uncle eats paan, gave paan stains to expensive sherwani).
