Anti National Again

Anti National Again

Last year around this time of the year started the anti-national debate after an alleged anti India sloganeering in Jawahar Lal University campus. This time ABVP resorted to violence in Ramjas College of Delhi University when in an event they invited JNU student Umar Khalid who was accused of sedation in last year’s JNU row. ABVP student hurled stones at AISA and other students who were participating in the event. Delhi police instead of dispersing stone pelting ABVP students put off the event and asked them to run away. The incident again set the stage for anti national debate and it should be noted that Bihar assembly elections were taking place last year and UP elections now.

Nobody knows what happens to last year’s allegations and arrests. They just became the tool of political gimmick and gave lots of ‘masala’ to prime time news channels who become judges themselves to hear the case and announce the punishment. Universities I think should be open for all kind of debates and discussions. Students should reserve right to condemn or critique different views but they must not curb any voices through threats and violence. What ABVP has done is nothing new in last three years since BJP is in government. They are disturbing universities decorum in Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi (JNU & DU).

The slogans are only raised and violence attempted only for a period of time and after that neither the ABVP nor the party leaders like Kirin Rijiju, Ravi Shankar Prasad, etc spoke over this issue. These incidents which are orchestrated for political motives are creating a rift in the society and decreasing the mutual trust between different people, who worship differently, think differently, eat differently or support different party or ideology. The nationalism they say belongs to whoever adhered to their ideology and identify with them and all other are traitors. They label them anti-national.

They may gain political benefits from them but that will gave the idea of India a permanent injury which can’t be repaired. This modern day divide and rule will further give rise to the forces which once divided the nation into two parts pain of which has shattered many people for always. I appeal that think about the nation before thinking about your religion, region or ideology because that is what important for all of us. Till next post God Bless India.

Sayonara 2016

Sayonara 2016

The start of 2016 was marked with Pathankot attacks and after that their was no looking back at the bad stories of this year. Pathankot attacks, Uri Attacks, Rohith Vemula suicide after which nationwide student's protest was there against the government which give rise to anti-national debate after sloganeering in JNU campus Delhi, rise of Kanhaiya Kumar, this year also saw several terrorist attacks in Brussels,Berlin, Turkey, etc and the continuing struggle for life of people of Syria, if there was a fight for race to President's post between Hillary & Trump in USA so there was consensus on Brexit in Britain, Mohammad Ali,Jayalalithaa, etc left us this year.

An important part of India Kashmir remain in unrest after the death of militant Burhan Wani which still not came out completely from the tense situation. The demonetization of Rs 1000 & Rs 500 notes during the end of the year halted the nation which finding it difficult to come to normalcy in the near future, Vijay Malaya escaped the clutches of government and there seems less seriousness on investigations on the names come out in Panama Paper leaks, who can forget the picture of Dana Manjhi carrying his wife's dead body on his soldiers or of long queues outside banks after note ban. This year was full of troubles around the world.

But that doesn't mean there were no instances of happiness or togetherness. Free Hugs movement in America try to spread love in the wake of racial abuses, Rio Olympics and T20 Cricket World Cup championship brought togetherness in the world, ISRO successfully launched many satellites in space and world stood united in the air of terrorism. It was a mixed year we can say but we can always hope for a better year, for better future and for better conditions for mankind to flourish. Happy New Year.

Here I have made a video showcasing almost all the events of the year.

Deshdrohi

Deshdrohi

Right now NIT Srinagar has more security personnel than any other educational institution in India. Some reports says that there is one army man for two students. People outside don't really know what is happening or has happened inside because media is not allowed in the campus. Bandwidth is also lowered in campus premises so students wouldn't send their videos outside through social networking sites. Nothing is actually clear but a large part of the country still knew that some Deshbhakhts/Nationalists/Patriots who were chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jay by carrying National Flag were beaten by some Deshdrohis/Anti-national/Traitors and also by J &K police. Thanks to what's app messenger service the country is divided this time into Kashmiris and Non - Kashmiris.

Since media is not allowed in NIT Campus none of us have confirmed reports about what has happened on the night India lost to West Indies and on the night when India defeated Pakistan in T20 World Cup Tournament. Some unconfirmed reports said that some Non-Kashmiri students teased Kashmiri students for Pakistan's defeat which prompted them to celebrate India's defeat in the semi final stage which lead to tussle between both the parties. This outrage increased during students' protest against the administration for not hearing some demands of students. It was then administration called police which attacked students with force, national flag was also taken by police which students were using in demonstration. Political gamblers who are pro in playing with such issues saw this as an opportunity to put oil in the already heated debate of Bharat Mata Ki Jay.

There is a pattern in all university tussles whether it is Hyderabad University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and now National Institute of Technology, Srinagar that a mere protest against university management by the students was curbed with force and the students who retaliate in response to violence were labeled as anti-nationals. It all appeared organised because as soon as the violence irrupted a group of social media rioters were ready to set the course of debate. Some of us who take all what's app and facebook messages as Words of The Book gets trapped in their clutches and help them to promote animosity among our fellow countrymen. None of them questions the role of university management even HRD ministry issue statements without confirmed reports and discussion with the university management.

The students who were beaten by police when narrated the incident to officials of HRD ministry not said that they were beaten for chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jay while there are incidents elsewhere in the country where people attacked for not chanting this phrase. For god's sake never react on social media rumors. It has caused Muzaffarnagar Riot, ignited Dadri incident, made terrorist out of JNU students, brought Bangladeshi migrants in a Dentist's killing and triggered many other big and small incidents. We have to look and understand the politics behind it. In all university tussles 'Left' ideology is the main target. Why? Because two poll bound states out of five namely Kerala and West Bengal have clear fight between Left and others. Assam also has Left's presence so by abusing this ideology BJP can polarize the voters to favor them.

On pretense of NIT Srinagar incident Kashmiri students who are studying in other parts of the country are threatened for dire consequences. 16 Kashmiri students were suspended in Mewar University, Rajasthan for fight over T20 match. All that is happening is not right for Kashmir issue. This will increase the feelings of alienation among them which would turn them towards currently increasing separatist ideology. It is difficult to end this post on a positive note so good bye and just take good care of yourselves.
