Ye Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye To Kya Hai !

Ye Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye To Kya Hai !

Ye Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye To Kya Hai is a famous song sung by Mohammad Rafi, written by Sahir Ludhianvi and music composed by S. D. Burman for Guru Dutt staring Pyasa (1957). These lines aptly describes the condition of the farmers who are currently dying almost everyday after the damage of their crops due to untimely rain and hailstorm. They are thinking what's the benefit if I get this world.

The debt ridden farmers have no hope from the world, governments and system to wait for any compensation thanks to their previous experiences resulting in their suicides. According to some media studies approximately 45 farmers are committing suicide daily in Vidarbha region (Maharashtra), Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Telangana and Madhya Pradesh. These are also the regions responsible for major agrarian product contributors to the GDP of India if condition there is so pathetic you can easily imagine the other areas with poor farmers. It is shameful that we are doing nothing for our 60% population dependent on agriculture.

The most horrifying thing about the whole crop damage and suicide problem of farmers is that neither the state governments nor the central government is serious for their sorry condition. Union Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari's remark that farmers shouldn't rely on god or government for help shows how serious government is about this issue. Even affected land area measurement by different government agencies are having different figures confusing the whole scenario.

What hurts more is the fact we city people who came out on roads for rape victims, corruption issue never lend their support to farmers who feed us by providing food. The bloggers who have a big impact on online news and information also avoid such issues. Twitter never trends with farmers plight. Let's hope that some relief should be send immediately to farmers without waiting for the evaluation of the damage and steps like loan waiver, help for new crop, etc should be taken to make them stand again on their feet. Yesterday was the Earth Day and no one but farmers are the most near to her. They are the true son of soil and I pray on this Earth Day for new ray of hope for farmers.

India In Danger?

India In Danger? ( Part 1 Of India Series )

If you are thinking I am joking or spreading some rumor then you are wrong. India is in real danger not from any neighboring country, not from any terrorist, not from any nuclear or biological attack but from hatred forces residing within the country. Before I explain it further I would like to ask what India is? How it is unique and different from other countries in the world?

The answer is simple India is a country where all religions, cultures and traditions lives in harmony which is its uniqueness. No other country can vow for such diversity of language, culture, religion, etc as India can. What makes us different from other countries of the world is that in spite of so much diversity we live as one and with unity but now I feel this is in danger because of some people of this country. Unity makes India and if this is in danger India is in danger.

Many recent incidents and statements of politicians appears to be against the minorities of the country like a Goa minister's statement that stage is set to make India a Hindu-rashtra ( Hindu Nation ), targeting Sania Mirza by Telangana BJP  MLA for being brand ambassador of the state, force feeding a fasting Muslim by Shivsena MP's , series of riots in UP from Muzaffarnagar to Muradabad to Saharanpur to Rampur as if part of a planned move by some anti-national forces, needlessly highlighting Article 370 related to Jammu and Kashmir, promoting baseless and fact less ideology of Dina Nath Batra among school children etc. All such activities have increased since the new government came into power and our PM who have plans for every petty issue have nothing to say on this important topic.

My main concern lies not with those politicians whose interest lies in gaining vote bank by spreading such hatred but I fear for the fact that masses have developed hatred for each other evident from social media comments and shares by them. The influence of corporate houses has also increased in TV media, since their motive is minting money they can run any damn news for the sake of money. If you observe certain news anchors and news channels you will find them airing only one side of the story hiding or suppressing the other side further increasing hatred in country.

India does not belong to any religion, party, region, community and cast but to each individual living in India. We respect each others cultures and traditions that's why enjoy each others festivals, rumor mongers and some political parties finds no gain in togetherness they wants us to divide. The formula of divide and rule is still prevalent and we all are becoming its victim. If those who believe in love, togetherness, peace and harmony would not stand up for the country then that day is not very far when we see neighbors killing neighbors and country again divided into small blocks. Today Yash Chopra's Dhool Ka Phool's song " Tu Hindu banega na musalman banega insaan ki aulaad hai insaan banega"( You will not become a Hindu or a Muslim but a human being child of a human.) is resonating in my mind. We try to make our children a good Hindu or a Muslim but never a good human being and a good Indian. I am leaving you with this song :

Politics At Its Best

Politics At Its Best

Before the start of 2013,the preparation for 2014 polls by political parties started in full swing. There are sessions of blame game, there are situations of credit grappling and of course partners swapping. Since 2012 opposition is finding ways to degrade the reputation of UPA government and Prime Minister, with inflation on a high and boom in scams of this government an early poll will be boon for opposition and that's where political game begins.

If any body wants to learn politics observe what is happening in India from 2012. There are so many scams unfolding each day but the big one came with coalgate where Prime Minister was also involved. Opposition took it as an opportunity and disrupted the Parliament's monsoon session without any work,FDI was to be discussed than that's where government played it's first card FDI was passed in the cabinet meeting and than the magic happens it also got passed in the Parliament (Yes,CBI played a crucial role in it but this is how politics work.)

Than came game changer scheme i.e direct cash transfer to lure the lower and middle class changing the focus of masses away from scams and inflation. Then came the Railway recruitment scam which again disrupt winter session and part of budget session opposition was again on a high but to counter that government has food subsidy bill in it's hand for which government is working very hard, what a move I should say.

But here is more to come,Jagan Reddy son of former Andhra Pardesh CM Late Y.S.R. Ready has become powerful in his state being separated from Congress and it might be possible that he may join hands with BJP after elections also Chandrashekhar Rao of  Telangana Rashtra Samiti is a threat to them. With creation of Telangana UPA and Congress hit two aims with one arrow ,there popularity increases in state and Jagan's power decreases and now Chandrashekhar Rao may again join UPA.

There are also other decisions during this period which are great political moves which I would like to mention, secret hanging of Ajmal Kasab and Afzal Guru, suspicious death of main accused in Delhi gang rape,Lokbal bill passed in Lok Sabha curbing Anna movement, anti rape law came into force, making Pranab Mukherji as president of India. There is still time in 2014 election so we have chances to see more politics in coming months.
