Anti National Again

Anti National Again

Last year around this time of the year started the anti-national debate after an alleged anti India sloganeering in Jawahar Lal University campus. This time ABVP resorted to violence in Ramjas College of Delhi University when in an event they invited JNU student Umar Khalid who was accused of sedation in last year’s JNU row. ABVP student hurled stones at AISA and other students who were participating in the event. Delhi police instead of dispersing stone pelting ABVP students put off the event and asked them to run away. The incident again set the stage for anti national debate and it should be noted that Bihar assembly elections were taking place last year and UP elections now.

Nobody knows what happens to last year’s allegations and arrests. They just became the tool of political gimmick and gave lots of ‘masala’ to prime time news channels who become judges themselves to hear the case and announce the punishment. Universities I think should be open for all kind of debates and discussions. Students should reserve right to condemn or critique different views but they must not curb any voices through threats and violence. What ABVP has done is nothing new in last three years since BJP is in government. They are disturbing universities decorum in Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi (JNU & DU).

The slogans are only raised and violence attempted only for a period of time and after that neither the ABVP nor the party leaders like Kirin Rijiju, Ravi Shankar Prasad, etc spoke over this issue. These incidents which are orchestrated for political motives are creating a rift in the society and decreasing the mutual trust between different people, who worship differently, think differently, eat differently or support different party or ideology. The nationalism they say belongs to whoever adhered to their ideology and identify with them and all other are traitors. They label them anti-national.

They may gain political benefits from them but that will gave the idea of India a permanent injury which can’t be repaired. This modern day divide and rule will further give rise to the forces which once divided the nation into two parts pain of which has shattered many people for always. I appeal that think about the nation before thinking about your religion, region or ideology because that is what important for all of us. Till next post God Bless India.

My Way and Only My Way

My Way and Only My Way

That’s the motto of current government and the administration working under it. You are a nationalist, a patriot, son/daughter of the soil only if you believe in the ideology of RSS (Rashtriya Swamsewak Sangh) which says that Bharth Rashtra belongs only to the Hindus. All the other religions namely Islam and Christianity came from outside and hence their followers doesn’t belong here. Interestingly their Bharat Rashtra constitute today's India+Pakistan+Afghanistan+Bhutan+Bangladesh+Nepal+Sri Lanka+Myanmar and they claim all of them. The Hindu Dharm for them is of the upper caste Hindus where Shudras or lower castes are at the bottom of strata. This ideology in the recent past say after coming up of Modi government has hold strong ground and targeting religion of others, others Hindus (Dalits and lower castes) and anyone who differs from their ideology like left ideology and secular ideology.

All RSS affiliated organizations are working hard for a Hindu Rashtra which is totally different from one imagined in our constitution. ABVP(Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad) which is the students’ wing of the BJP is also one of them. They engaged in duels, violent protests against left student wings which is creating tensions in many universities of India. Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) which is a stronghold of Left parties is their main target. They threw all their energy in declaring it anti-national during arrest of JNU Student Union president Kanhaiya Kumar and other left wing students after a protest in the university campus on Afzal Guru hanging. When this campaign failed after their release from the court ABVP students remain engaged in tussle with them.

In the recent incident ABVP affiliated students assaulted Najeeb Ahmad a first year MSc student of biotechnology inside the university campus on 14 October 2016. Since that night Najeeb Ahmad is missing. Delhi Police which works under Home Ministry is failed in tracing him even after 21 days. Mainstream media is still busy in creating Indo-Pak war situation in their studios neglecting the news of missing student. Her mother along with s ome JNU students is continuously demanding quick action not only from Police but also from the Delhi CM, Lieutenant Governor and from the Home Ministry. Police delayed the search operation at every stage. They didn’t search the campus initially and haven’t arrested the ABVP students who assaulted him. I fear for his life because even if he was kidnapped his kidnappers would have killed him in fear of revealing their identity. There is a possibility that he is hiding for some threats thus finding him becomes more important for police.

People elected Modi government for development, for the good days he promised and because he believes in welfare of all but the incidents happening last two and a half years proving different intentions of the government. These things not only affected the work done by the government but also malign the image of country in the world. I am ending this post with the hope that police find Najeeb Ahmad soon and things transform for the better of India. God Bless India.

Jacket Jeans Mein Aaya Kanhaiya

Jacket Jeans Mein Aaya Kanhaiya

Kanhaiya Kumar Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union (JNUSU) president who was arrested by Delhi Police on charges of sedition after February 9 incident of alleged anti national activity smothered all his critics with an impressive speech after coming out on bail by Delhi High Court on 3rd March. Literally,'Jacket Jeans Mein Aaya Kanhaiya Sabki Band Bajane Ko.’

What he said holds ground if we factually examine all the evidence available at present in the public domain. Let’s talk about the anti India sloganeering by group of students lead by JNUSU president Kanhiaya Kumar. First of all FIR submitted by Delhi Police didn't mention any anti India and pro Pakistan slogans in the list of 29 slogans. Secondly five out of seven video tapes referred in FIR are doctored as found by forensic analysis. Finally the role played by Home Minister, HRD Minister, Delhi Police and some of the media channels in portraying that JNU was running by funds from Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Saeed is also under suspicion and shows signs of a planned conspiracy. An organized group was leading the #CloseJNU campaign on roads, on news channels and on social networking sites supported by BJP MP’s Subramaniam Swami, Mahesh Giri , BJP MLA’s like Gyandev Mishra of Rajasthan, O.P. Sharma from Delhi and even Ministers Rajnath Singh and Smriti Irani.

It was all propaganda and if it was not then why some news channels run these doctored videos continuously without examining them? What was the motive in drawing parallel between the soldiers and these students by labeling them anti-national?  ‘Sipahi wahan apni jaan de rahe hain aur ye desh virodhi nare laga rahe hain’ such sentences were spoken in TV debates which not even let JNUSU representative speak to counter attack and if soldiers are dying whose foreign policy lapse is responsible for it. It should also be noted that soldiers don't have exclusive rights on patriotism and nation loving all those who dis their duties honestly and love the country are also patriotic. Why JNU expenditure was shown to provoke people that government is rearing these so called anti national students on public money? Was it all a conspiracy by ruling party BJP its government and its ideologue RSS to malign JNU image which promotes rational thinking, freedom of speech, political awareness, higher education for poor and above all democracy in its true sense.

I want to ask Mr Narender Modi why he didn't share his opinion in Parliament about JNU issue even when this was the hot topic of discussion in current session and referred by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi in his speech a day before PM’s speech. How will youth flourish if they were targeted like terrorists? Kanhaiya Kumar also mentioned in his speech that reason behind atrocities of government machinery was to divert Rohith Vemula suicide case and with Prime Minister's silence on this issue too I found no reasons to deny his claims. Kanhaiya also urged PM to listen everyone’s 'Mann Ki Baat' instead sharing his own 'Mann Ki Baat all the time.

Kanhiaya spoke for poor, for farmers, for soldiers, for policemen, for labors, for all oppressed classes of society and their rights. He said that his fight is for 'Azaadi' (freedom) in India and not freedom from India. He called for unity to fight for this freedom from all those things and from all those people who are trying to destroy democracy in India by destroying and suppressing voices of dissent. All those who believed that Kanhaiya Kumar is anti national and traitor must hear him once and think where he was wrong in his demands. Below is the video of his speech.

Policewale Gunde

Policewale Gunde

"What do you expect from Delhi police that they will worship them?" It was the answer when I discussed the students' lathi charge incident with someone. "Jiski Lathi Usi Ki Bhains", he added which translates as power lies with one with the stick. This is the image of Delhi police and Modi government in people's view. It's not that I think Delhi police officers as saint but regularly watching Crime Patrol on Sony TV made me think differently.

Delhi police lathi charged students of Jawahar Lal Nehru University and other student unions during their protest in front of RSS headquarters in Jhandewalan, Delhi over suicide of Hyderabad student Rohith Vemula. What is more shocking was that some other people who were not from students' union and Delhi police were beating these protesters. The beating was same for both girls and boys and in video you can hear voices from students asking what was the reason of such police atrocities. It is not a rocket science to guess that civilians who were brutally beating students along with police were RSS workers. Is RSS above law and democratic values of protest?

Prime Minister Narender Modi who when on tours abroad boost about youth power of India and the potential lies in the youth of the country must bring out his Mann Ki Baat to his lips about this police atrocity. This is not the way to treat protesters. Are they trying to imply through such violence that nobody dare to protest against this supreme unconstitutional authority? Are we still under British rule? Here I will not blame only Delhi police and Narender Modi government because in every state of India student protesters receives such kind of police treatment. The political parties which crave for votes from them don't bother to listen to their needs and demands.

I demand strong actions against all those police officers who were responsible for this incident and I also wants to know who ordered them to do so. Was Home Ministry aware of this lathi charge orders? It is sad the police system is corrupt and thrives on sycophancy. If you don't appease your masters you were not going to get promotion or some creamy post after retirement and the common man bears the burden of this police behaviors. Below is the video of policewale gunde beating the students.
