Delhi - Drive, Design and Connect

Delhi is a city which drives you crazy when you look at its age old architecture, feel its zealous past and peep into its mystical history. From ancient architectures to the modern marvels this city offers everything you crave for. The rulers which have ruled India from this city designed it in their own style. Even now in the modern times it is the center of all political and governmental activities. It was and it is the point of connect of people of this country. The special thing about Delhi is that it belongs to everyone. People from all states have settled in this city and has enriched it with their culture and traditions. I like it for its composite culture where a road (Chandni Chowk) having a Temple, a Church, a Gurudwara and a Mosque displays the India full of different cultures living together in harmony.

This city drives in you the real spirit India. No other city offers you the hullabaloo of news makers, the patriotic flavor of armed forces, the charm of ancient world, the charisma of modernity and a sense of power. The city in which flows the fuel of energy and enthusiasm of India. Since this city is driven by power it always remain a focal point of change which helped in churning our democracy for better results. (Remember J.P.Movement, Anna Movement.)

It is designed by different rulers at different times according to their own tastes and comforts. From Hastinapur to Indraparastha, from Tughlagabad to Daulatabad, from Mehrauli to Old Delhi and to Lutyens Delhi it is fully equipped with different flavors of architecture, culture and traditions. In a way it is a timeline of history of India. Most recently the addition of Metro Rail project which have joined, combined and connected different eras of Delhi have given a unique addition to its design.

It is a place which connects with everybody easily due to its diversity. It is this city where the phrase unity in diversity suits the best. You can have Goa's Christmas, Maharashtrian Ganesh Chaturthi along with Bihar's Chath Puja, if there is a glimpse of Bengali tradition during Durga Puja then you have also fragrances of South Indian festivals of Onam, Pongal, etc. There is a busyness of Eid' one road and buzz of Diwali on another. Similarly you have food here which not only connects you to India but to the world. Just ask for anything Chinese, Thai, Italian, Mediterranean, Mughlai, Hyderabadi, Gujrati, etcetera, etcetera and they are available to sooth your palate. Moreover since no one is from Delhi, this city is for everyone and besides feeling connected to traditions and cultures of different parts of India you feel connected to you country and yourself.

This city binds India together like Tata Motors which by providing different vehicle range is catering to the needs of every household of India. I sum up Delhi in words of Prasoon Joshi 'Yeh Delhi Hai Mere Yaar, Bus Ishq Mohabbat Pyaar' which means that this is the city which is only filled with love.
