Hate the Hate

Hate the Hate

'Hate the Hate or It Will Destroy the Entire Race'

The business of hate is prevailing around the world and we may understand it in few years time but until then it will be too late for some to come back to love. I am not saying it because three Indians killed recently in USA due to hate crimes where killers said them to ‘Go Back To Your Countries’ after ban on immigrants of certain nation is imposed by President Donald Trump but because such crimes are rampant in all parts of the world.

Be it atrocities on Rohingya Muslims in Burma, common Syrians in Syria, Immigrants and Black killings in USA and Europe, Hindu killings in Bangladesh, Americans killing in many Middle eastern countries, attacks and killings on North-East Indian, minorities, Dalits and Muslims in India. These all are due to hate. These crimes has arose from teaching people that one is better than the other and that other don’t belong to us who are better. Weather it is for people of some color, religion, region or for people who eat differently, who behave differently, who look different from us and who are not the same like majority. These people or organizations play victim card that their existence is threatened by some people and if those people/religion must not be stopped than it perish them. If such things happening they highlight it many folds and if nothing of that sort is available they will create situation for their benefits.

The danger of this situation is a divided world and divided humanity. We see the pains of few and neglect the sufferings of others. We inculcate in this way a habit of hatred and hatred will never give rise to love it will only open gates for more hatred which then will not see the color/religion/region of the victim at the time of attack. The people who can hate easily can hate anybody and not the others created by them. What Donald Trump has started is ongoing in India and many parts of the world for years and since there were not many strong voices against them it has increased to such an extent. With President of one of the biggest country in the world is endorsing it this is spreading like an epidemic now.

The people of America has condemned such hatred since the time Donald Trump used it in his presidential campaign but his win suggests that majority supports this idea. Similar victories are happening and have happened in last few years in many parts of the world. The growing unemployment has given a proper breeding ground for spread of this decease. The growth models are not people centric which are worsening the situation further. The only solution is Love and compassion for each other. It’s time we promote Universal Brotherhood and Humanity to save the world from this disease. God Bless the World.

Trump Triumph

Trump Triumph

Donald John Trump is the President-elect of the United States who will serve as the 45th President of America. He was also a businessman and a television personality. His acting skills were visible in his year-long campaign. The way he talked, the way he expressed himself animatedly and dramatically caught attention of not only American media and people but also of the people all around the globe. The winning of a man who is charged with rapes, misbehavior with women, financial irregularities and other such charges including spreading hatred for immigrants/minorities is not going well with a part of the media and large number American people.

Before going further let’s check these facts that only 50% people who are eligible for voting cast their votes and Donald Trump won 49.6% votes against 49.5% for Hillary Clinton of these total votes. It is also possible that those who haven’t cast their votes are against Trump that means even after winning more than half of American population is opposing him which is also visible in #NotMyPresident protest in all over America. Something similar also happened after 2014 general elections in India where Narender Modi became Prime Minister with only 30% of the total votes that means 70% didn’t like him as a Prime Minister. But imagine if we have such protests against Mr Modi then in our country 70% people would have termed as anti-national and demands to send them to Pakistan would have voiced from the BJP supporters.

This feature makes American democracy great where they have the power to criticize and oppose their President without fear of going to any other country or to label as anti-national.  The trolls there are not abusing and threatening them for life. The Media criticism of Trump is also taken as sportively. Considering his campaign speeches world is worrying about stability, peace and brotherhood but nothing could be changed for next four years there we can only hope he would understand the responsibility of his post and the repercussions of his actions on America and the world. Till next post God Bless The World.

Book Review - God Is A Gamer

Book Review - God Is A Gamer

God Is A Gamer is written by Ravi Subramanian and is published by Penguin Books. I have received author signed copy of this book from BlogAdda as a part of book review program. Before going to the book I must admit that I haven't read previous fiction works of Ravi Subramanian namely If God Was A Banker, Devil In Pinstripes, The Incredible Banker, The Bankster and The Bankerupt and neither his non-fiction I Bought The Monk's Ferrari and after reading God Is A Gamer I regretted not being aware of his writing before. Ravi Subramanian is a banker by profession writing thrillers related to banks and bankers and this one is also one of them and promoted as world's first bitcoin related thriller.

Cover : The bitcoin symbol in the title hints at its involvement in the plot. The shape of man looking at white house and the tag line ' Is Revenge A Crime?' relates story to the USA and to the white house. The shape of the man is looking confident enough to take his revenge but with whom is the matter of reading. The cover reveals that a narrative of intrigue is waiting for you which happens with the prologue in which so many things were happening but how and why is unknown.

Plot: Gillian Tan a senator and close pal to the president of United States was killed in a car explosion. This case was handed over to Adrian Scott a special agent of FBI on urgent basis. The story revolves around Scott's investigation of this case ,its link to the ATM heist of millions in New York city and with the new virtual currency Bitcoin. His findings about Indian involvement in the heist and Tan's assassination. How he finds its connection with Malvika's suicide a banker in India in his search? What's the role of leading gaming company of India in all these things? The fast paced roller coaster narrative cross gamer, banker, politician and terrorist shocking and surprising the reader at each turn. How Scott solve each puzzle to reach the real culprit is heart pounding. A case which moves from US to India and from India to US via many twists, turns and encounters with technicians, corrupt bankers,CBI, drug peddlers and many more.

Thriller : The tight plot keep you hooked and you try to go through the complete story as soon as possible to know who was pulling strings. The narrative is as quick as the story, the things were coming rapidly leaving you awestruck and surprised. The climax was superb and wasn't in haste. The end is like a some Hollywood thriller movie but is justified looking at the situations. I also liked the detailing of some technical and financial terms. Quick switching of scenes from different places to different people in the end makes you restless and more curious which I think is a right approach to such thrillers.

Spoiler : Complex plot and introducing a new character in every chapter in the start may look bit confusing to some readers. Use of some financial and technological terminology distance it from common readers who are not into thriller genre. Also I think the Bollywood connection is missing in the plot, when so much money, traps, betrayal are happening actors involvement is a must.

Rating : Must read for thriller lovers and a must try for everyone. I will give 3.9/5 to this book.

Blind Worship

Blind Worship

These are few recent headlines of the leading newspapers of the country :

'Jaya supports damaged public property after her arrest'

'Modi supporters hoot non-BJP chief ministers in three states'

'Asaram's followers blocked road to the assembly'

' Senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai manhandled in New York by PM fans'

' Khan battle by fans on social media'

' National Highway blocked by those demanding Chaudhary Charan Singh museum'

'Protesters demanding ministers resignation for statement against Sonia Gandhi'

The list of headlines about such incidents is endless where people in love of someone forget their limits, morality and even laws. The recent incident of Jayalalitha's supporters making nuisance on Bangalore roads and Tamil Nadu state after her conviction in ten years old disproportionate assets case shows how irresponsible these blind followers were. In their hullabaloo they forget that they were disrespecting courts, law and the constitution of India. Moreover she was jailed for corruption charges which is not something to boost off.

Similar blind following was observed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to New York (USA) when people slapped senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai on asking questions against the PM. We live in a democratic country where we all enjoys right to speech which also gives us right to question anybody whatever would be his/her designations but that doesn't entitle anybody to misbehave with one who was asking questions not liked by someone. This tendency to be violent against media the fourth pillar of democracy would raise doubts in independent working of such organisations which in turn lead to manipulation of truth.

Such behavior only hampers the image of the idol in questions in the eyes of his/her critics more and those who attracted towards a particular personality due to love his supporters give to him/her started detaching themselves from these impatience supporters and from the personality itself.. These supporters in their emotions damages public property increasing more burden on common citizen.

A fan/follower is the image of celebrity in the eyes of non-fans, what they portray would symbolises his /her action. Here the role of personality concerned also increases, they should advise on and condemn any violent, immoral and indecent behavior of their fans, followers and supporters. Our idols shape the course of society being respectable citizens in their fields and by their contributions for country. Their struggle becomes our inspiration and they becomes semi-gods for us but that do not entitle them to any supremacy over anybody and they too are open to criticism in a democratic setup. Demeaning others for their sake is not the right way.

So, just not follow the persons charm and persona but also what he or she believes and practice because these are the things which make them idols.

Cyclone Phailin

Cyclone Phailin

Cyclone Phailin is a tropical cyclone formed in Gulf Of Thailand in October 2013. It developed and eye and became half the size of India as it reached the Indian Ocean. It affected the coastal areas of Thailand,Myanmar and India including Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It was predicted by Indian Meteorological Department that this cyclone was much bigger and intense than cyclone Katrina which hit United States Of America in the year 2005 and thus devastation caused by it would be much higher.

But first time in the history of India, state government agencies along with NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) were prepared after IMD's (Indian Meteorological Department) warning. IMD's predictions were also proved true which in itself is a big achievement because most of its prediction about weather made by them went wrong. The reason behind that is Japan Meteorological Agency was also monitoring this tropical depression, anyways this is another point of discussion but the fact which I like to highlight is the alertness shown by Indian agencies in handling the situation is worth mentioning.

Odisha was also affected by cyclone in the year 1999 in which many lives were lost and property worth millions were destroyed. After this cyclone many changes were made in the way of working of the agencies in spreading warning to remote areas the result of which is that about 550,000 people were evacuated and moved up from the coastlines of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh to safer places in time. The efforts were admired by world over. It also proved that if government wish than it is possible to complete the task in time and with full efficiency. Odisha and Andhra Pradesh governments responded well to the situation and really deserve a grand salute.

People may not have lost their lives but their homes, their occupations have destroyed by this cyclone which will take a while to restore. We should pray for their well being and speedy recovery from this disaster.
