Karnataka Elections

Karnataka Elections

Looking from the north Karnataka elections are becoming status question for both Congress and the BJP. On one hand Congress is fully active in protecting its biggest state rule in country while the BJP is trying to make its base stronger in the south. Few things I have observed in this election process and I don’t know how this going to affect the outcome of the result:
  •   BJP is not ashamed of playing its communal card which is visible in its targeting Muslims as well as pitching for unified Hindutva by opposing Lingayat community status as a separate religion and bringing campaigners like Yogi Adityanath who is playing the propaganda perfectly.
  • Congress has an edge with trump card of giving Lingayat community a separate religion status plus CM Sidhdharamaih has a positive image of development among the Karnataka people.
  • By making Y.S.Yedurappa as CM candidate and giving tickets to corrupt Reddy brothers of Bellari BJP has lost the right to condemn Congress’s corruption.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi appears to be the only savior of BJP as his multiple rallies are planned in the state.
  • Both Congress and BJP are not keen on developmental and people’s issue rather interested n throwing slur at each other.
  • Amit Shah has earlier scored self goal by saying Yedurappa as corrupt.

Whatever happens in the future you can ensure yourself an entertaining campaign not only in Karnataka but here at Delhi also through News channels that have all eyes and ears on this instead of any other issue or news. They also perfectly spreading the propaganda which not only affecting the people in Karnataka but various part of the country by mixing animosity among the communities which is further degrading values of togetherness and integrity.

Apart from elections, IPL is also happening in the country and has reached the midway. Chennai Super Kings under M.S.Dhoni is on verge of advancing to the playoffs along with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Other two teams in the top four are Kings Eleven Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders. Still with lower four teams struggling to climb the ladder there is lost more action left to see this season.

Sonia Gandhi - A Woman of Substance

Sonia Gandhi - A Woman of Substance

The lady who was unknown to the masses till 1997-1998 become so popular among the people that she led her party to two consecutive historic win in the country many people believed not belonged to her. I am talking about Sonia Gandhi the outgoing president of Indian National Congress. She has left her post for elevation of her son Rahul Gandhi as the Congress party president.

Her timing to enter politics collides with the time I started following politics. It was the time Indian politics was in turmoil as the country has faced three general elections in a period of four years. Her own party which she refused to join after the death of her husband in 1991 was also at breaking point with many fractions emerging from it as the opposition for then party president Sitaram Kesri grew stronger. She joined the party after pressure from senior Congress leaders and for some other reasons best known to her. Her joining and elevation as party president resulted in Sharad Pawar, P.A.Sangma and Tareeq Anwar leaving the party to form a new one on the issue of her foreign origin. This issue remained burning topic during her first election and after many more years after that. He enjoys backlashes on her foreign origin from many even today when he completely left her country in 1983 and adorned the Indian culture from her heart.

I have seen the time of her elevation from leader of opposition against Atal Bihari Vajpayee government to the position of verge of electing Prime Minister of the country. She humbly refused to be PM of the country and gave Manmohan Singh the chance to become so who did it twice in 2004 & 2009. To step down from the post of becoming PM is her masterstroke to silence all her critics who used to say that she joined the party for that purpose. It also subside the issue of her foreign origin as the opposition shouted against the PM of a person of foreign origin. She by sacrificing the PM post silenced them for always.

She remained the powerful women of the country in all the years she was active. Despite many allegations of corruption and slur of Bofors and National Herald Case on her career she remained strong.  She was behind the ideas of promoting MNREGA, Food Security Act, Land Acquisition Bill, NSA, Foerst Act, Direct Benefit Transfer, AADHAR and many other schemes and programs of Manmohan Singh era. She feels now that it’s time for her to retire but her party wants her to remain their guardian for as long as she can. She remain active or not but India and Indian politics can never forget her contribution to the country in these 19 years she was active in politics. She was the part of change India experienced in these years. Love her, hate her but you can't ignore her.

Chor Chor Mausere Bhai

If you think that one political party has done 'Banta Dhaar' and other is doing 'Sudhaar' than you are totally mistaken. They are the birds of a feather flocking together. Ab Kya Ho Gaya? You all must be thinking. The two big political parties of India namely Congress (I) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) become one cleverly to dilute the Foreign Contribution (regulation) Act , 2010 which restrict and regulate foreign contributions to any political party. In May 2014, the Delhi HC directed the government and the EC to take action against the BJP and Congress based on a PIL filed by the Association of Democratic Rights for accepting the donation from London based Vedanta Group. Both the parties moved to the Supreme Court to challenge this order and before Supreme Court could issue any statement regarding this the FCRA was tweaked down in the Parliament to favor both of parties. Gaye Bhains Paani Mein.

The amendment made to the FCRA act changed the definition of foreign company to make these donations legal in the law. Neither the ruling party nor the largest opposition party have no objection on the issue ; it is not even discussed by them in Parliament and on public platforms. They are 'Ek Thali Ke Chatte-Batte' on such issues. Now they have removed their appeals from the Supreme Court because they knew that law has become favorable to them. Moreover the amendment made in 2015-16 is applicable from the date of passing of law in the year 2010 gazab. Allowing foreign donations will result in making and enacting laws which will be beneficial to these corporate firms. I want to ask why these parties need such huge contributions when there is a limit set to spending on elections by the Election Commission. Hathi Ke Daant Khane Ke Aur Dikhane Ke Aur they all are sitting on similar sides as far as corruption is concerned.

The people today are standing in queues patiently only in the hope that Achche Din will come but the intention of political parties and the impact of their policies talking in different directions. Neither the terrorism, nor the fake currency or black money has stopped from demonetization which I considered as the failure of this scheme and government should think to roll back it soon. Kahan Se Kahan Chala Gaya it is not the deviation from the topic but the part of the topic since these parties specially the ruling party under Narender Modi is speaking frequently about the corruption in the country and that every Indian should come clean out of it but when ball falls in their own court they become silent. We common people are fighting with each other on the pros and cons of demonetization to prove our alliance to the honesty and betterment of the country while our politicians are busy in washing away their sins together. Ram Teri Ganga Maili Ho Gaye Papiyon Ke Paap Dhote Dhote.

Ye To Aise Hi Chalega unless we started question the people in authority. We have to realize the power of the questions and avoid flowing with the tide. Hum Sab Ek Hain should be our motto not only against other nations but also against the evils of our own society. Khayenge Aur Khane Denge we have to stop them from doing so. God Bless India.
