Burnt Letter
Deepak was the first reporter to visit the riot affected area. That village was desolated and everything was destroyed. He entered a burnt house where he found a half burnt piece of paper in one of the corner written by a child,
" God,I am afraid of these loud voices, they are beating our doors and throwing stones. We are sitting inside hugging each other, my mother told me that they are going to kill us and can be saved if only you were here. Please come to save us."
He wiped off his tears and moved to another house.
Oh WOW. That is so powerful..and sad. But WOW the pain and anguish, the fear and acceptance that this exhibited is just remarkable!
ReplyDeletethank you ,Kathy for these encouraging words
DeleteIt is a thought-provoking and sensitive piece on riots by politicians and those idiots. Lil' do we realize there is a child inside a house at a tender age and who is terrified. It's such a shame and kudos for this beautiful letter.
